60-70 without grinding

[DISCLAIMER] Outspark has changed the Bat hair quest, so this guide is no longer accurate. However, with the release of the Crystal Castle, if you plan correctly, and replace the Bat Hair quest with several runs through CC and the coordinating CC quests, you should stay on track.

First, this is just my map, if followed there is little to no grinding. You can move certain quests around if you prefer to work them first. But, keep in mind, some quests that have multiple parts might not be proceedable after certain levels. Some quests are also only for 1 level and need to be worked that level, even if there is a repeatable in that level.
Also, if I put Repeatable out beside a quest – work it until you level.

If you get tired of working the repeatables, take a break and do a few spider KQs. You get decent exp, good mats for production or just selling to make money, and a break from killing the same thing over and over.

For the repeatables, try finding a party that is already in the area working the same quests, it helps make them go by quicker and you are not having to battle over mobs.

One last tip: If you have a repeatable quest, try to carry it over into the next level. For example: You are nearing the end of level 61. You know that all you need is 150,000 exp to level; the repeatable quest gives you 354,800 exp. Go ahead and do a few spider KQs or work a license to get you leveled, then turn the quest in after you level.

Level 60 – Need 3,546,811 exp
Only work:
60-61 - Castle Lord's Goods 1 – 244,400 exp
60-61 - Castle Lord's Goods 2 – 354,800 exp – Repeatable

Level 61 – Need 4,048,228 exp
These 3 can only be done in level 61 – do not carry them over.
61 - Suspicious Behavior 1 – 121,800 exp
61 - Suspicious Behavior 2 - 216,200 exp
61 - Suspicious Behavior 3 - 216,200 exp
Then work:
61-62 - Karl's Padawan 1 – 216,200 exp
61-62 - Selfish Elf Pinky – 258,900 exp
Then continue working:
60-61 - Castle Lord's Goods 2 – 354,800 exp – Repeatable

Level 62 – Need 4,612,249 exp
Only work:
62-63 - Amnesia 1 – 317,100 exp
62-63 - Amnesia 2 – 839,900 exp– Repeatable

Level 63 – Need 5,245,476 exp
Only work:
62-63 - Amnesia 2 – 839,900 exp – Repeatable

Level 64 – Need 5,956,087 exp
Start with your level 60 quests that you never completed:
60-61 - Harassing the Habitat – 227,000 exp
60-61 - New Invention – 240,300 exp
60-64 - Orc’s Bad Smell – 258,900 exp
60-64 - The Princess Syndrome – 249,700 exp
60-70 - Bandits Cleanup 1 – 278,700 exp
60-70 - Bandits Cleanup 2 – 415,800 exp
60-70 - Bandits Cleanup 3 – 565,100 exp
61-62 - Karl's Padawan 2 – 121,800 exp
61-62 - Pinky’s Peach – 265,000 exp
62-64 - Catastrophe in Roumen – 157,800 exp
62-64 - Catastrophe in Roumen village 2 – 329,200 exp
62-64 - Catastrophe in Roumen village 3 – 329,200 exp
62-64 - Catastrophe in Roumen village 4 – 317,100 exp
62-64 - Catastrophe in Roumen village 5 – 157,800 exp
63-64 - Repairing the Warehouse 1 – 157,800 exp
63-64 - Repairing the Warehouse 2 – 157,800 exp
63 - Why Those Little! – 438,600 exp
63 - Queen Spider’s Web – 638,200 exp
63 - Greenkie’s green Slough – 464,000 exp
60-70 - Spider Attack 1 – 359,900 exp

Level 65 – Need 6,752,976 exp
First work:
65 - Give up the Weapons 1 – 555,400 exp
65-66 - Dreadful Forest Elf 1 – 420,900 exp
Then only work:
65-66 - Dreadful Forest Elf 2 – 538,000 exp – Repeatable

Level 66 – Need 7,645,958 exp
Continue working:
65-66 - Dreadful Forest Elf 2 – 538,000 exp – Repeatable

Level 67 – Need 8,645,995 exp
Work these quests:
64 - Feather Pen – 538,000 exp
64-67 - Look for the Golden candlestick 1 – 393,400 exp
60-70 - Spider Attack 2 – 885,300 exp
64 - Nox Thieves – 495,400 exp
65 - Three Warriors of Roumen – 538,100 exp
65 - Give up the weapons 2 – 604,100 exp
66 - Quality Swords – 376,300 exp
66-67 - Rock Walks 1 – 229,800 exp
66-67 - Rock Walks 2 – 525,700 exp
66-67 - Charm made out of claw 1 – 671,200 exp
66-67 - Charm made out of claw 2 – 671,200 exp
67 - Unnatural Ratman – 252,800 exp
67 - Sparkdog’s Horn Tea – 645,500 exp
67 - Incurable disease – 461,200 exp
67 - Blood Red Dye – 834,300 exp
67 - Trumpy’s Cowardly Revenge – 785,200 exp

Level 68 – Need 9,765,204 exp
Yes, there is a repeatable here, but it is hard, long, and take forever. So work these quests to help you get through this level:
60-70 - Spider Attack 3 – 1,114,500 exp
68 - Disappearing Diggers – 671,200 exp
68 - Sinister Trees 1 – 735,600 exp
68 - Sinister Trees 2 – 534,000 exp
68 - Lost Heart 1 – 727,400 exp
68 - Lost Heart 2 – 330,600 exp
68 - Hair Remover – 917,800 exp – Repeatable – work until you level

Level 69 – Need 11,017,036
Easy as pie from this point on:
60-76 Work your Land of Trials quests 1-6 for a total of 2,126,300 exp
64 - Prodigal Girlfriend – 6,588,800 exp
64 - Look for the Golden candlestick 2 – 393,400 exp
69 - Ancient Souls 1 – 511,400 exp
69 - Ancient Souls 2 – 727,400 exp
69 - Strength Enhancing Elixir – 933,300 exp

Now if you work the quests in the order they are listed, you will not run into losing a quest because you leveled too high before you completed it. Also, at each level get all your new quests, because some are level limited, but as long as you have them in your list, you can still work them after you pass the limit.

Last note: If you do not agree with this guide, then fine. This is just my guide and it is not perfect. Make changes to my guide to suit your needs better or make your own. We welcome advise and help from everyone, even on the same subject.

Wow~ o.o
I wish I followed this guide from lvl 60 xD
It certainly solves a lot of my problems like when to do the 6m exp quest.

Can I ask for the levels to be bolded?

Spirit 12-19-2008 04:30 PM

Done.

Yeah, this is the guide my fighter is following. She is 65 now and so far no grinding.

I also have something that I am working on for level 50-60. But, it is still a work in progress. Hopefully over the holidays with all my vacation, I can also finish it.

Lady-Loki 12-19-2008 04:32 PM

Cool! Helluva lot easier to follow than that dam spreadsheet you sent me.

Manzcar 12-19-2008 04:34 PM

I find the spreadsheet easier to understand myself

but then again

I'm a maths nerd

:zomg: but, but, but..... my spreadsheet was color-coded and everything.

:nahnah: - the spreadsheet was for me to follow. Because I understand it because I typed it up. That is why I put my spreadsheet in word form and used the real names of the quests and all that.

Andromeda 12-19-2008 04:58 PM

The timing of this guide is almost perfect for me as I'm almost Lv 59. At least I wont have to resort to doing Dungeon of Abyss for my +9 Blue Axe xD

Spirit 12-19-2008 05:05 PM

Some of the quests, you might actually complete along the way. The trick is to resist the temptation to turn them in. Like, chances are, you are going to get the Queen Spider Web way before my guide says to. I am just leaving it sitting in my pocket and I will not turn it in. Same with the Archon feathers. You will complete that one while doing the repeatable greenky quest, but just hold onto them. If you need to talk to the NPC, drop one of them.

Same with the Spider Kqs. You might complete one of them early. But, jsut hang on to it until later. Or look at the quests and find one that is around the same exp and hold off on that one so you can go ahead and turn in the Spider one. But, you have to be careful doing that, because you might hold on to one that has a second part that needs to be completed by a certain level.

I might try to go in and put levels beside the ones that you need to have in your list before the level limit is reached.

Manzcar 12-19-2008 05:07 PM

we have a thing here called an edit button... bottom right hand side... please use it.

thanks,

Andromeda 12-19-2008 05:09 PM

I'll follow this guide to every last detail so I dont go wrong. If I need to restone or something I can always go to Elderine or Roumen or somewhere else :p

Ill just have to make sure my whole quest list is cleared before I do this. Quest hoarding is good xD Im so glad you made this guide since I lack a Lv 60 +9 Axe I have to wait to Lv 70 for my +9 Wing of Casha. You've just made my life much easier xD

Tonight it will be raining Chocolate on your roof

Glad it will be useful to you. I usually keep stuff like this to myself, because some people think I am weird for plotting, planning, and creating spreadsheets. But, it is what I am good at and what I enjoy. I actually have fun putting together a strategic plan for my girls.

Belaslav 12-19-2008 05:18 PM

Seems pretty well made guide... what drove you to it?

And I just kill stuff till the little duck pops up and tells me to go see some NPCs.

Manzcar 12-19-2008 05:20 PM

:cheeky: Jeez it was a joke Spirit...

Plus I lubz my spreadsheet... :cutielove:   :cutielove:

Andromeda 12-19-2008 05:28 PM

How many quests can you hold at once because at Lv 67 there may be more quests you can do that you can hold so you would have to drop one or 2

Manzcar 12-19-2008 06:07 PM

20 quests at one time.

but remember some don't happen till you complete the one before.

I.e LoT 3 than 4 than 5 than 6 you can't hold all these at one time you must complete 3 before getting 4.

Spirit 12-19-2008 06:51 PM

kk, I added the level limits. Some may actually go higher than what is up there. But, I have never tested them that far. So, I only put what I was sure of. But, it lets you know, if you need to drop one, which ones you can drop and pick up later. But, you should never have anymore than 15 quests at a time. Unless you are still carrying other quests or event quests.

Zwivix 12-19-2008 08:44 PM

What?! Thats...thats...brilliant!

Wow all that time grinding...Well at least i perfected how to kite in DoA ^^

FatalLace 12-19-2008 09:22 PM

VERY nice guide... i'm uberly impressed!

one other tip regarding repeatables...

if u know the quest is no longer repeatable after your next level, complete it as close as you can to your current lvl (like 99.9%), pick it up again so u can atleast carry it over once more on the subequent level. it can break up the monotony of your other repeatables once in a while (like doing a few greenkies here and there in-between Muds). you can only turn it in once, but it's still a nice little bonus.

Loveless 12-19-2008 09:35 PM

Yay, you did it! Awesome guide Spirit.

Now I'll just get someone to 60 so they can make use of this guide. :E

Spirit 12-19-2008 09:44 PM

Yeah, hopefully I can work on the level 50-60 guide soon. Maybe i can get it up before the end of this weekend. But, it needs a lot of tweaking, because I did not start working on it until after my archer was 51. But, she has a pretty smooth ride from 51-60.

Miriamele 12-19-2008 09:46 PM

Get your cleric to 60, Hika. :x

I'm already 67 but I've used a strategy a lot similar to this. I did grind a little bit (only because I'm sick and like grinding sometimes), but I calculated that I would also have extra left-over quests to do. Planning to fly through 67, barely manage with muds at 68, and fly through 69 to hit 70. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

FatalLace 12-20-2008 12:11 AM

thought a bit more about this thread... what's the drawback to "grinding"? oftentimes it's faster and easier than some of the repeatables...

for instance - solo grind in LOT from 60-64 is faster than doing spores (if u have the ability and resources to do this)

also for repeatables like Mud of Purity, it may as well be a grind.. i did this quest the other day... killed the required 70 lizardmen and had 3 muds to show for it, i still needed 17 more! this was solo WITH hunter's warrant. i guess luck has a lot to do with them, especially those repeatables that require a drop, not just kill counts.

koager 12-20-2008 12:12 AM

whee~will need this if I ever get motivated enought to get to 60 :p
getting to levels 61, 63, and 64 look bleh though. only repeats D:

there needs to be a 5x guide too
I was so bored doing prisoners repeat D:
and now the only quest I have left is the Karsian Hair thing one
and the fricking thing wont drop when I duo'd with a cleric killing like 50 of them :hulksmash:

cillia 12-20-2008 12:26 AM

so the lvl64 girlfriend quest isn't repeatable? because it says that it is on the info IG. D: to bad i cnt follow this exactly anymore. i finished all my spider kq quests at 61 DX and i did most of my other quests... oh well im gonna try to still follow it xD

yeah it's kinda deceiving... it's repeatable on lvl 64 ONLY, but once u do the quest one time (6m exp) u'll have leveled to 65.

this used to be a 20k repeatable waaaaaaaaaay back in the day that was never worth doing. they changed the reward, but not the "repeatable" flag.

The quest is repeatable but since you get an instant level up at Lv 64 you can't redo the quest when you hit Lv 65. Which means even though its a repeatable quest you can't redo it

Enraya 12-20-2008 01:27 AM

Noticed something in game and decided to just post it here xD
Karasian's hair, mushroom spores, and archon feathers all have the same little wierd icon in game.
AND THEY ALL ARE SO HARD TO GETTTT -pulls hair out-

I'm trying to rework the quest schedule to see if I can match it with the quests I have now, but it leaves me with three or so quests at lvl 64 e__e

The levels help A LOT! Thanks!

Blaaaaaaaah 12-20-2008 02:38 AM

I STUFFED UP MAJORLY ALREADY! need... to... find a way around this. But thanks for the guide!!

It is, though some people don't like grinding at all (e.g. me). Getting spores is like grinding, but there's more "aim" to it, I guess. Telling myself "I'll aim to get XX%" doesn't work for me because I get bored easily... Dx!!!

Oh there is nothing wrong with grinding. I just know that some people made a few comments to me about all the grinding they had to do to get to 70. And with 3 of my characters, I normally solo, soloing can be a pain when grinding. So, I created a plan to level without grinding. So, when those people made comments to me, I told them I mapped it out with no grinding and several of them asked me to post how. So, I took the time to turn my spreadsheet into a guide.

If you like grinding, then there is nothing wrong with it. It is just sometimes easier to find a party working repeatables than finding a party to grind.

Miriamele 12-20-2008 03:56 AM

With the right abyss party, you can pull the upper right room in 60s abyss completely and receive awesome exp. I had a party with 3 fighters, a mage, and a cleric, and we did some serious grinding. I got, like, 20% at lvl 66 because I was so bored of greenkies and wanted more mats.

For the archon feathers quests, I actually partied with a greenkies group that was pulling a lot, greenkies and archons included. I also had the greenkies sloughs quest so I got both drops while they got their greenkies. It worked out well.

EdwardWarlock 12-21-2008 09:46 PM

Excellent guide. I bookmoarked this topic to help me when I reach 60. Do you happen to have a guide for 50-60?

That may depend on what class you are.

As you're a mage, you could AOE and probably get quicker exp in abyss...

I as a bloody slow cleric, is a 1 on 1 wherever I am, I may as well do quest XD

Because you had already done some of your quests. Take a look at both and see if you can move stuff around. My plans are not set in stone, lol.

Manzcar 12-22-2008 04:32 PM

I know that I'm looking to see if there is something I can do to lessen the Muddiness of my climb to 70.
