Similarities in events...

Well... I think the FF xmas event is pretty similar to the in-game event.

1) Chests are called Santa's Lost Stuff. Santa's been pretty clumsy this year, hasn't he?

2) They make you spend endless hours in game/forum searching for things you'll never get.

soopa_crows 12-18-2008 12:11 PM

yeah i noticed T.T

Hraesvelg 12-18-2008 12:15 PM

FF didn't give me the opportunity to shove my head up a slime's ass, though. Hmm.

Similarities in events huh... I once suggested about recipe contest Fiesta style and they turned it down cause it didn't get people to go in-game. Well, what do you know. Ah well...

Yeeeeeeeeeeeer.... you totally saw what the forum game did to me...

I'm glad you understand now!

Nevje 12-18-2008 10:52 PM

I just joined not too long ago playing this game.. and this was my first real event I could join in..
I was sooo happy when I found my first chest...

So I started to open it.. then some unknown person came, killed me and stole my chest.. :cries:

Ok, bit disappointed.. I didn't give up.. Tried again, and again.. and again..
After 3 hours I think I died.. more than 100 times.. But.. I still didn't give up..
After all.. I did get 1 in 5 chests I tried.. so.. If I would hold on.. after like 100 chests there would be like 20 I would get to open..

So I tried more and more and more... and.. I think I opened over 20 chests by now..

Amazing huh.. Took me about 6-7 hours I think... But I did it!!

Guess how much quests items I got..
ZERO!! >.>

I gave up on the quests.. So disappointing.. :cries:

Hraesvelg 12-19-2008 02:04 AM

Soloing that quest would be pretty hard. It's a good thing I ran into some friends.

Loveless 12-19-2008 02:10 AM

FBZ3 was much more tame compared to the other ones. Apparently FBZ2 is the worst.

Hraesvelg 12-19-2008 02:21 AM

We were in FBZ2. People were almost too polite for it being an FBZ. About the only ones that seemed like they were trying to grief for a bit were from a certain lactose-themed guild that will remain nameless, but that didn't last for very long.

Loveless 12-19-2008 02:31 AM

I think in FBZs where there are a lot of higher leveled individuals they are smart enough not to kill for the chests. They open the chests anyway...

Only works if you can 1-2 hit kill them.

Hessah 12-19-2008 02:37 AM

if someone gets too aggressive, killing too many people, they'll find themselve getting attacked by about 6-7 people LOL

some guy was hitting one of my party members, i kept healing him, so the guy gave up, and turn to attack Mikey instead... boy wat a bad mistake that was for him LOL

Enraya 12-19-2008 03:03 AM

FBZ2 was really polite o.o Almost all of the people in there kept to peaceful competition xD

Blaaaaaaaah 12-19-2008 04:22 AM

Apparently FBZ1 was the worst. /haven'tbeenthere

It's also funny to see people "claiming spots". I mean sure, I camp at spots and would like to "own" it too but unfortunately that's not the case. Chests are free for all and you can't really claim spots. If everyone claims a spot then the people who comes in next wouldn't be able to stand anywhere without getting told off.

Anyway, I was camping at the usual spot yesterday and there were also three other people of the same guild. They never hit me nor tried to attack me, so it was peaceful. I thought, ah, they seem pretty nice.

Then this 3x fighter comes along and wants to also dig chests there. Fine by me, I'll just have to be more alert. But one of the other people in the guild two hit him. He died, and came back. And the person killed him again, and was like, "omg leave. my spot, my chests". Ummmm.. impolite, much? >_>

Then I think they gradually got secretly annoyed with me because I managed to get a few chests first with the yellow bar. Sure enough one of the clerics (level 7x I think) started hitting me but she barely did any bad damage to me and I didn't bother to fight back, and she stopped after a few hits (probably see how I'd react). Then later on the MD walked by and they took the aggro of the MD and kept trying to pull it to me/other people who went by to dig chests. =.="!

Sure enough I died sooner or later, but walking back I found an empty lane where chests were spawning xD! Least I didn't have to end up fighting for the chests and go to camp at a peaceful spot... LOL!

Hessah 12-19-2008 04:29 AM

LOL in FBZ there's some bored high levels that takes on the Dragon as a pet, and they dont go after chest.. they just want the dragon XD

sometimes u see a bunch of people walk pass a newly spawned chest, and they just.. look pass it and go after the dragon LOL

Doesnt happen too often... but it happens XD

I thought it was 8x ... ?
Yeah, there are some people that use the dragon's AoE to keep others away from the biggest chest spawn area. Because the center is pretty big, they started dragging MD back and forth to kill people.

FBZ1 is really bad. Everybody is looking to kill there. Haven't seen FBZ3 yet o:

Hessah 12-19-2008 04:42 AM

i have a feeling u gotta look high level to stay in FBZ3 though..

if u're like level 3x-4x i think they'll drive you out...

Hraesvelg 12-19-2008 05:21 AM

I did notice a bit of that in FBZ2. If you had on no gear or really low stuff, it seemed nearly everyone one-hitted them to discourgage their staying around.

Not the people that were there, for sure! A chest spawned behind them and the girl who were taking hits turned the dragon around to face a.L who was digging the chest... I think it was a.L. Casted an invince just to be safe :cutielove:

I mean I had trained people with dragon but... at least I die with them and it's not like I'm using the MD to claim a spot. Dx

Oh maybe 8x, I don't remember what the 8x/7x shield looked like, LOL.

a.L 12-19-2008 06:21 AM

I was in FBZ3 with Ralath and Esen earlier. Other than the lactose-themed guild (thanks, JT) it wasn't too bad.

Esen 12-19-2008 08:01 AM

Me and Ralath ran into one guy that was guildless and not so nice either. >_> But I guess he listened when Ralath told him to stop. o-o But yeah, FBZ3 is not so bad, some people are very nice in there. And some people started to play tag while waiting for chests to spawn~FBZ2 didn't seem so bad either the short time I was in there. I haven't tried FBZ1. I'm kind of afraid too. xD

Enraya 12-19-2008 08:08 AM

DON'T GO TO FBZ1.

and LOL tag xD

a.L 12-19-2008 08:13 AM

I promise I will never EVER get sick of your avatar and siggy.

Ralath 12-19-2008 08:19 AM

^Agreed.

That same guild had a person in FBZ1 who killed anyone who dared enter the area at the end of the path. I just went to see if it was bad so of course I am just moving to the end and back 7 the ass killed me so i went back & started spying & when he would go for a chest I would fear him & run off - lol, did that a few times just for kicks (no idea who got the chest, but it wasn't him).

And there was another one from that very same guild in FBZ2 last night moaning & complaining of how bad their luck is trying to get people to let her have the chests.
