Question about GLs

Does each server have their own?

Cause I saw a screenshot of a [GL]Eve and I'd never seen her before.

But we have Asp and Nei, so I'm wondering if they take people from servers and then give them the GL name on that server?
I'm pretty active and I've never seen Eve before...

So have you guys from teva/bijou/apoline ever seen Nei or Asp?

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:08 AM

Nei at one time was on Teva. No idea about their current positions.

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:11 AM

I'm wondering if Nei is kind of a head GL..

There is one for each server + Nei, and I've never seen anyone but Nei and Asp...

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:13 AM

I'm surprised he's still around. Last I heard he was in some pretty hot water for warping us higher leveled people into failing KQs.

Hessah 12-17-2008 04:18 AM

I think Nei was the first GL....

I see Nei and Asp every now and then too, I think they're the two most active GLs.... (never heard of any of the others actually)

Ralath 12-17-2008 04:19 AM

^Though honestly, I think that sounds rather tame. I'd rather have him warping high levelled people into failing KQs than have GLs train kallaps on Helga raids... >_>"

Ok, so im in Uruga sitting in my shop step away from the comp for 7 or so minutes.. My character chilling trying to make me some extra golds you know get on my hustle.. i come back n find my character on the respawn point surrounded by the players from other shops and players that couldnt survive the rampage of Fire Nixes..
And that's the same GL who spawned Helga in Uruga for the Turkey Day event. AND the same GL that got us all trained in the Helga Raid after running his mouth about being careful. ;-;

BUT. It's the same GL who took care of a particular guild for ocean and took me to witness him pulling spammers to echo cave and Helga's tomb. =o

~didn't mean to turn this into a hate-on-the-GL thread... I'm really just curious ;3

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:22 AM

I never saw what the big deal about the KQ thing was, personally. I guess some people didn't think it was fair since he wasn't pulling us into all of them, just random ones. It was free EXP for the people participating.

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:24 AM

But if he spawned someone from GHS and pulled them to elderine with no uruga scroll to go into a KQ.........

:hulksmash:

Hessah 12-17-2008 04:26 AM

I heard (could be just a rumour) that he got a slap on the hands for spawning people in KQ, but after that he got the OK (or was not looked at) for doing it again...

but eh... even GMs dont spawn things in Uruga town... wat gives him the right to kill people's shop and lose exp while vending?

It wouldn't be random pulls. He'd make an announcement. "So, anyone XX level and up want to help out with Honeying?" and then he'd respond to whispers. Those of us who joined knew we were going back to Elderine at the finish, heh.

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:30 AM

Oh, well in that case...

Why on Earth were people getting mad?
Or were the lower levels getting mad?

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:32 AM

That's exactly it. The people that weren't in the "special" KQs were feeling left out and complained.

Hessah 12-17-2008 04:33 AM

I know that for the Teva one, the GL pulled people out that was already in a Robo KQ to that Honeying KQ...

And i guess it can be seen as morally wrong, unfair, cheating?

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:35 AM

Seems like it was all in good fun to me ;3
I think it's some of the other things he does that he should be getting in trouble for?
And why can't he just spawn them to a completely seperate KQ and let them play with the honeying, teehe

Had Dakkon done it no one would have been complaining....

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:36 AM

The one I was in, I was in CP1 when the announcement came in. I think booyah was in that particular one, too. It was Honeying. At the end he spawned a few extra big bosses. The after-death spawns were massive. Of course, we had mages AoE bombing, so they still went down really quickly.

I believe I was a victim of one of his first KQ interferences, and I did complain. The GL pulled someone from the Robo KQ I was in to warp them to a Honeying KQ (someone in the Honeying KQ asked for this other person to be warped in) and our Robo failed with seconds to go. That one body helping take down mobs in my Robo KQ most likely would have taken down enough mobs to have made that a successful Robo KQ.

But . . . my complaint most likely would have stopped with my comments I whispered to the GL about how he negatively affected the outcome of the Robo, had it not been for his arrogant attitude and reply to me. When he told me to "take 5 and chill" and "have fun dealing with it", that pissed me off just enough that I did complain to GMs.

His attitude regarding his action was unprofessional for someone who is suppose to be representing Outspark. Just my opinion.

And it was shortly after that when he started making the system announcement and letting people whisper him so I suspected that his system announcements were not being displayed in KQ's in process and therefore he was only pulling people from open maps that could receive the announcements he made.

So, basically his attitude is what triggered my complaint more than his warping people to or from any given KQ.

How on Earth can a GL train people in Helgas Tomb. If his character is level 150 no monster in Helgas Tomb including Helga will attack him unless he deliberately attacks them and brings them back to the group and suicides or ports out.

irroc29 12-17-2008 02:43 PM

No character is level 150.

The max level is 120, and on our version, only the GMs are the high.
GLs are level 110 if I remember correctly.

Ninja_Medic 12-17-2008 03:40 PM

no one knows the GLs -.-

i see one everyonce in a while at events

like the one where people won a free play at Remi's when it first came out

(first winner on Apoline, btw ;D)

FatalLace 12-20-2008 01:36 AM

GLs are lvl 100 and would pull aggro in Helga's Tomb...

never seen any of these kinds of incidents on Bijou, thou i do see Nei there from time to time.

GL's are actually lvl 99, they're at the next lvl capped as said by SKiNG

silky mentioned that that is actually a costume, not stock armor. so no worries if u don't like it.. i think it's pretty cool tho

Hraesvelg 12-21-2008 09:32 AM

That's the female Seiryuu costume, as discussed in this thread (amongst other costumes).

Ralath 12-21-2008 10:16 AM

oh.

mah bad.

Loveless 12-21-2008 10:18 AM

GMs have mentioned on several occasions that they were 150(+)...
