Belaslav 12-17-2008 12:33 AM

no fly be free and accurate

Hessah 12-17-2008 01:04 AM

HUH?! what one of us?!

What did I get myself into?

Loveless 12-17-2008 01:09 AM

I know Hessah.

And it also reminds me of the movie the Departed.

irroc29 12-17-2008 03:38 AM

source of the show

it's damn hilarious if you don't know what it's from

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 03:50 AM

Gah. I just watched the first episode and it makes me want to weep for humanity.

irroc29 12-17-2008 03:53 AM

Well, I guess if you don't like that kind of humor....

I think more people than not enjoy this show, sorry mate. :cutielove:

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:06 AM

What was so funny about it? It's someone that can't string a coherent sentence together and then what he does manage to get out is littered with "n00b" 40 times a minute. I realize the guy is an actor and he isn't actually like that but it got old, fast. The bit about religion and types of games was a nice touch, but they really went over the top with "n00b." It felt like a Saturday Night Live sketch that went on and on after the punchline had been put out there. Perhaps the series gets better as it progresses, but the first episode is a resounding "meh."

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:09 AM

Personally, the second season and the end of the first is my favorite.

When he gets a girlfriend and no one believes him, oh well.
Some people like repetitive, long SNL skits I guess.

I mean, they're obviously doing something right... Their fanbase is enormous and the show -is- still in production.

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:12 AM

Never confuse fanbase and popularity with quality. How many seasons of American/Pop Idol have there been? But hey, to each their own, right?

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:13 AM

Lots of people -like- that show though...

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:29 AM

That's my point. American Idol is a load of rubbish, but a ton of people still love that show. Millions upon millions watch and call and vote. It doesn't make it not rubbish, though. My only real point is that the first episode really doesn't do anything to pull me in. I realize it's satire, but I suppose it hits a bit close to home since I do know people who are somewhat like that.

irroc29 12-17-2008 04:34 AM

Mm, I get what you're saying now.
I guess we'll agree to disagree

Back like 4 years ago, I remember there was a 'save the pwnerer' chrisis because I guess the word "pwnage" was going to be copyrighted.. And he was going to have the change the whole pwn- aspect of his show and it made everyone have a cow.

My only thought was, "how in the hell can someone get away with copyrighting 'pwnage?'
:nahnah:

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:51 AM

If they were using it in a business context, I could see them getting away with registering it as a trademark. They'd have to show when they started, etc. Look at Apple. How can they get away with trademarking a fruit? The same way Apple records did, I suppose. Boy was that a fun lawsuit.

irroc29 12-17-2008 05:53 AM

They trademarked the whole apple?
Or just in their format? (Like my avatar)

:zomg: NO WAY.

soopa_crows 12-17-2008 06:36 AM

Crux 12-17-2008 06:48 AM

Since it's all about me, might as well...

Since this post says my name in it, if you're bored and wanna watch something pretty bad ass, then check out these links. Watch it in High Quality if you want.

And yes, that's me playing.

Read the descriptions though, in the 2nd and 3rd video where Gears of War gameplay is happening, I'm not the guy in the trench coat, I'm the guy without a t-shirt. He's recording it from his angle to get a better view, my gamertag on live use to be B Slash E, it's now I EiEvAtE I if u wanna add me, feel free.

Crux 12-17-2008 06:57 AM

By the way, 3:30 is my favorite kill in the second video, he jumps over the barricade, my torque bow shot goes under him as he's diving over and it sticks the guy to kill him for the round winner.

soopa_crows 12-17-2008 06:59 AM

lol this stuff is pretty funny to watch

Crux 12-17-2008 07:56 AM

I hope everyone else enjoys it too.
