Stone Prices
Do the stone prices and the number of stones you can get vary according to how much sp/hp you have, or the level you are?
I was thinking they'd vary according to the amount you have but I wasn't sure. |
I'm pretty sure it's the level, I remember everytime I leveled up.. the prices and the amount I could carry would go up.
|
But the thing is, your hp and sp amount also goes up when you level.
I'm asking this because I'm wondering if it's worth putting certain points into my characters. For example, there is no point in getting more SP from SPR points if the prices vary by the amount of you have, since I will have to pay more for my SP anyway. D: Yes, the Asian inside me is emerging out.. calculating every copper I spend..! :3 |
I been doing this for ages and eventually decided to not have stones... Pots seem to be able to carry my mage well enough i mean if i get hit i heal straight away retreat a bit and what not. I mean i have 5 of each stone for emergencies but that is all.
And to answer your question I think its just level that puts the price up. |
It's lvl.
And sp stones cost less than hp stones. -.- Which means that clerics gotta spend less again ! xD Quote:
like 2 secs till it does -.- in what i usually die. + stones = like 80% of your sp/hp whatever lvl you are. and pots will just stay their own thing, like for warriors the hp pots are so useless which i found out. like you heal 200hp wif lvl 1 pots. which is so low after on xD. + Another GOOD thing about stones you CAN use sp and hp same time ! xD while wif pots you can use just 1 ! + thought i reccomend being on full stones, and lots of pots. because sometimes like on bosses or so you may need both :) 2x faster healing :P |
You're correct that it's based on lvl, however the price is also based on class. I have a 30 warrior and a 21 mage and I seem to remember that for the warrior the hp stones cost more, while for the mage the sp stones cost more.
|
Lvl ^^ they currently cost 68c for me.
|
it's level based. i remember when i hit 20 on my archer i didn't use a single stat point.SP stones cost the same before the job change and after the job change when i used all 25 points on spr.
pots seem really useless. even if you save every mat and make hp and sp pots whenever possible, you still will be on too low a tier for them to be usefull. ^i'm doing the above method (mostly because if i vend i can sell the pots for more than the mats, however, i never use pots except for job change) and by the time i hit tier 2 for pots, i will have enough HP that the stones will still recover more. |
My Cleric goes through masses of tier 2 SP pots. I'm beginning to think it might be cheaper to go back to stones, which for me are about 43c each.
|
I would stick with stones. If they really restore 80% of your current HP/SP they are way cheaper than Pots.
Example for Apo, dunno how it's on Teva: Pots heal for 200-250, if you have 800 HP/SP you need 3-4 Pots. With stones you would need only 1 (or 2 but that would be a great waste of healing capacity) I sell my Pots for 35c each, 3-4 Pots = 105-140c. One stone cost around 40 for me. Difference 65-100c. So if you would sell the Pots you would use and use stones instead, you would even make quite a bit of profit of it (considering you would produce them yourself or only use those you find from drops) Tier2 Pots are sold for quite a bit more so the profit goes up too, even if the stones cost more per lvl. |
ditto Karubo..
why spend 40c on Tier 1 SP pots for 250sp, when u can spend 40c on SP Stone that heals 80% of ur SP (in my case, about 600sp) i can see the need for HP stones and pots.. but as a cleric i dont really need them anyway.. so my concern was more for SP pots but if ppl like SP pots.. the by all means, be my guest...! It's those who use SP pots that makes me rich =) (as i'm a pround seller of them... when i hv stock keke) |

Anyway, I actually didn't start this thread to see whether I should use pots or stonse. Pots are ftl, but I still have a bunch of them with me in case I run out of stones. I asked this because I'm wondering what stat points to put on some of my characters. For example, take mages. Should I go full SPR? If I go full SPR, it means I will be having a lot of SP. If it's based on levels, then the stones would be the same price as someone with the minimal SP. Meaning for the same price of stones, I get to heal more SP. o: -dingdingding- BUT, if it's based on how much SP/HP you have (as well as your class, of course) then it's not worth getting all the SP since I need to pay more for it anyway, if you get what I mean. o: |
hmm wouldnt hv a clue...
but if its based on level.. that means i should stock up on stones just before I level?? since price goes up each time u level... (i probably save myself 5c XD) |

I was levelling on my noob, and I went from level 7 - 11 without going to get stones, and when I ate a stone, it healed very little because I got it at level 7. |
but but.. how do they keep track of how many stones i bought at lower levels and how many stones we bought at currently level?
it all goes into the same stack... |

ok.. change of questions... how do WE know how many stones we bought when we were at low level? kekekeke
would they know to use the earlier level stones 1st? i laugh if i got to the end of my stack and realise it healed 60 SP instead of 600SP keke ok ok.. i guess they're smarter than that.... |

Wouldn't that mean the stones "level up" with you to accomodate your increase in HPand stuff?
|
Bump~~
I've been recording how much my SP Stones heal me at every level. I would like to make a point to say that SP Stones (and i assume HP stones too) heals you according to your level, or as loveless say, they "level up" to accomodate ur increase HP/SP. On the set of stones i bought prior to lvling, it healed the same amount as the set i bought after lvling. And when I leveled again, the 2nd set of stones healed an extra few SP again. So I strongly believe SP stones go with your level, and to stock up prior to lving =D |
Are you level 34 yet? How much does the stones cost you?
|
oh yeah i am.. 4got to check... i'll go home and tell u later...
|
yeah the stones 'lvl' up for sure...you know the first stones on lvl 1..like 10 of both. they heal something at lvl 1(used 1 to see) and as lvl 5 it healed same % as it did on lvl 1. :)
But about that if it goes with your HP/SP...no clue, but it wont boost much so not a big problem ;) |
At lvl 34 as a Cleric, SP stones cost me 39c each.
|
Ah, and hp costs you 58c right?
Okay, I am finally persuaded that it goes up by level regardless of how much SP you have at that level. How much SPR have you added? |
Lets see, I can get 5000 hp and SP stones for.... 4 button clicks
|
Hack. I have reported you.
|
can u click it for me too??
i dont buy HP stones.. but i check for u enxt time i'm at Avon... i hv 72(+16) SPR |
Ah okay. So I've decided. If I ever create a mage, I'm going to go full SPR because I get to heal a lot of SP for the same price as a mage with less SP!
Have to make the most of my money, ya'know! /asiantightness |
