it never ends

i love my cleric i truly do... but i hate the beggars that are like broke crack heads lookin for buffs >_<. i thought it was bad before i hit 40... but once i got to 40 and could don that 40 armor they come out of the woodwork... its worse than walking down a bad street with the sound of change in my pocket...

ok i feel better now

ohh and WTF is with people asking my mage for buffs??? seriously...

Loveless 12-07-2008 04:42 AM

There, there... I have been asked on all of my characters for a buff. I could sort of understand my fighter being asked when she's holding a shield and sword. Might be hard to tell the diff when it's all shiny. But... for the others... yeah, we're clearly holding a bow... or a wand... :goaway:

Miriamele 12-07-2008 08:06 AM

Even when I'm not playing on my cleric, people begging clerics for buffs gets to be annoying sometimes. Especially when they don't ask nicely. Clerics aren't your slaves. Fortunately hardly anybody has asked my nubby cleric for a buff because he obviously can't give them yet. I have been asked a few times on my fighter though. You'd think you would look at my armor and see I'm a fighter. Guess not...

Loveless 12-07-2008 09:35 AM

No, they see shield and weapon and automatically you're a cleric. xD

koager 12-07-2008 10:24 AM

for mage I guess its the +9 glow on the wand/staff is the same as the +9 glow on the hammer/mace
they just don't care about the shield at that point, its like its probably on the other side where they cant see it.

on my mage, in a KQ, I got partied into an all fighter party
and I got flamed for not healing.......

Plunger 12-07-2008 03:29 PM

Sometimes people think my little Plunger can buff...

Yosei 12-07-2008 04:14 PM

*twitch* C'mon man, just one. I haven't had any in 4 hours! 4 hours man!!! I'm going crazy here!

I know how it feels ._. Its like red light green light when running around. Stopping and going, buffing people and running.

^^ yepyep. Happened to me to in a KQ. You would think that not only the wand would give it away but also the PURPLE surrounding my face in the party list!!!!!!!!

BUFF PLZ

:goaway:

^^ That one blows my mind. They stand there watching you war and still ask for a buff. give me a break.

Silent Wizard 12-08-2008 04:19 PM

I gave up trying to teach plp to ask for a buff in a potite way, you just cant fight the ignorance and I got tried of using my time in conversation with them.

There are some that ask well, maybe 20% and they always get buffs. Buff pls or buff plz will get you a buff most of the time.

buff, or BUFFPLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Z

will never get you a buff from me.

I always will cure anyone I see that needs it. Revive I like to wait till asked because about half the time they warp to town anyway.

Most plp will give me a ty or tyvm about 90% except when i'm on a buffing run through FoM, FoT, SoG, MT, or GC buffing eveyone i see. There I often buff from a distance and it may take them a few to notice and by then I'm gone.

The thing that annoyes me is after someone in town has asked for and got a buff their next word is "heal". I can understand and do this in the field but in town? Come on guys! Give it a rest (pun intended)!

Spirit 12-08-2008 05:24 PM

OMG, I know. I have given people buffs before and they stand there looking at me and then say “heal”. I just continue to stand there looking at them. I do not even reply. I love the ones that say it over and over again. They could have rested and restored twice in the amount of time they stood there asking me for a heal.

Phantom Badger 12-08-2008 05:44 PM

xD If I'm in a generous mood I will buff them, If I'm not I'll say something like
'plz? wtf does that mean? That isnt english XD' or say what you say to a child
'say please...'

^^''

lamchopz 12-09-2008 04:52 AM

well, this one time, someone asked me for a buff. he said "buff". i just stood there looking at him. then he said "please", he got the buff. LOL

is it so difficult to be polite these days?

Deoial 12-10-2008 05:11 AM

i suppose it is im getting closer tho got to 45 today only 2 levels away from telling people no and having the ability to buff if they nice... i feel bad when someone asks me nicly like "deoial may i have a buff pretty please" and i respond with :( sorry only level 45... but its coming i feel it the power :nahnah:

monkeydaddy 12-10-2008 05:39 AM

lol i understand what all of u are talking about. every once in a while i will be generous and just buff whoever i see. that doesnt happen very often. I generally save my buffs for academy members and party members and if it gets to be too bad i am gonna go back to roumen and invest in some nubby armor so they leave me alone.

cillia 12-10-2008 07:18 AM

what i do:
"buff plz"
*buffs*
"ty"

*walks away* problem solved xDD
well for me just clicking on them and buffing isnt much work, and actualy whenever im in roumen, i buff everyone i see :0 i buff them before they ask XD you never have to hear buff plz again O.o idk everyone who knows me knows idc if someone asks for one or not- they're getting a buff! >=3

bloodrops 12-10-2008 02:13 PM

As a cleric, I like giving buffs to people that ask nicely - and I think it's same for most people...:/ As long as people ask clerics nicely for buffs, I don't think there are any problems. But...I hate "buff plzzz" requests.

Don't people realize it would be a little nicer to ask like..
"I'm sorry to bother you, but could you nicely buff me please?"

I would definitely want to continue giving buffs to someone asking like that.

Mindspank 12-10-2008 02:25 PM

Well to take an even approach to this nuisance, some of you clerics act like your all high and mighty with your buffs. Giving one guy a buff and not giving others a buff. I completely understand where the clerics come from because its a hassle, seriously. But I have also seen clerics reverse hassle people making them type complete sentences and say that so and so is my god for buffing me. I mean seriously, come on. Some of these clerics have ego's the size of the internet. ITS A F$%&#ING GAME. Game. Say it with me kids.

G-A-M-E

Good. Now that that is out of the way. If you want to avoid being harassed, just dress down to the nublet cleric gear. The liteny stuff, pre lvl 20 crap and people will not ask you for a buff. Not a single person has asked my lvl 18 cleric for a buff because they see my nub gear and know I cant help them. Sometimes it pays to go incognito.

Vasu 12-10-2008 02:34 PM

Well, some people actually look at your HP. And some people (like me) don't have enough space in their inventory to keep the pre-lvl 20 stuff.

Mindspank 12-10-2008 02:38 PM

Thats why you get nekkid. Nothing better than to just drop all your armor and your worries. And if they look at your hp, tell them its a glitch. Lie, it always works.

This is the internet my friend, you think all these women running around the server are women?!

Vasu 12-10-2008 02:40 PM

Well, I usually don't have space to strip either, but that's probably just me. LOL

Mindspank 12-10-2008 02:44 PM

Everyone has the room to get nekkid!!

BTW someone asked my archer for a buff 5 minutes ago. Priceless...

cillia 12-10-2008 03:53 PM

lol dont worry my inv is always full :D your not alone~

Hessah 12-10-2008 11:18 PM

-stands still and pretend to be AFK-

yeah i often just strip now... if people did take their time to look at my HP then, I think they deserved a buff LOL

but stripping does reduce a lot of the random buff request... coz usually people just LOOK for a high level cleric.. they dont click on every cleric to check their HP...
