Divorce

Quote:

Divorce was indeed released in the last patch.

Players can now get divorced by visiting Dreian Uriel (the same NPC you submit your wedding application to).

Now go get un-married! Yay!
Source

Well there you have it folks. You can now get a divorce if you so wish.

Yay? Nice...

Now, we can get married, ask for money, THEN RUN!!!

A_Forever 11-27-2008 04:28 AM

Now.. do you have to pay for that as well? xD!! Lawl.

Don't get why someone would do that @_@ You spent the money on it in the first place D: && If it costs more money(Not as in it costs more to get the divorce than get married) to get the divorce and then you get married again.. well yeahh.. more money O:

Omg. Sounds like real life.. >_>'

Loveless 11-27-2008 04:36 AM

You pay in-game money to get the divorce. You can either have an 'agreed' divorce where the couple splits the cost. Or a forced divorce where the one who wants it pays the full amount (no idea if the other person can decline though o__o).

Well, just like real life... people jump to a decision and regret it. A lot of people had been asking for it... and well, more for Outspark if the same person marries xx number of times.

A_Forever 11-27-2008 04:41 AM

^I don't know if you thought I had something against it or not..(Hard to tell over the intarnetz xD)

But just to be clear, I have nothing against this xD!!

------

So what happens with the pets? Do they take them back or do you keep them? (I'm guessing that you get to keep them since its easier that way and seems fair. Just curious though.) o:

I can tell you right now that if I get to come back to Fiesta, I definitely won't being getting a divorce o-o

Loveless 11-27-2008 04:45 AM

Didn't you were agreeing/disagreeing I was just giving out info.

And I don't think they'll take away the pets but... if you get married and get the pets again... that'd take up inventory. D; Unless you can store em...

Spirit 11-27-2008 04:53 AM

Well, it could also be that the person you are married to does not play the game anymore and you have not heard from them in a long time. Lady married Eru on her main, because he was playing all the time. And well, now Eru is no longer playing at all. So, she can divorce him and marry someone who plays regularly.

Luna 11-27-2008 04:53 AM

They take away the pets.
~ The pets symbolize that you're happily in love with another person, so once you're not married, they take it away..along with the stat buff :)

A_Forever 11-27-2008 04:57 AM

LMAOO..

My brother said, "Technically, the woman would get everything in the divorce. Not really half.. EVERYTHING. Instead of getting +2 all stats from those pets.. you'd get +4. You'd even get his money. All of it."

LMAO!

I miss Eru... TAT

At least they'll be less people asking for it... and more people complaining about how much it will cost. xD

A_Forever 11-27-2008 05:03 AM

Btw.. that came from the brother that lives down here in FL. Not Sec. @_@

This brother hasn't even played Fiesta.

I wish the lady would get everything :3

Luna 11-27-2008 05:04 AM

^ Oh noes...A For is secretly a sleaze!! Nuuuuu let it not be truuuuu!

Somehow I see reality in fiesta each and every patch x.x

Oh noes.. Outspark is trying to teach us life lessons! DEAR GOD!
(Or atleast pick up on some themselves -.-)

Loveless 11-27-2008 05:04 AM

That would be awesome. Though I can't divorce if I haven't married... :cheeky:

Pebbles 11-27-2008 05:04 AM

It doesn't say how much it is, but my friend has 600s and it says she doesn't have enough o.o. Does anyone know how much it is?

Loveless 11-27-2008 05:05 AM

I thought that someone posted from a kFiesta patch that it was somewhere around 2g?? Not sure though...

It's 1g - 2g....nobody has really confirmed it yet.. (Seriously..who wants to give up stat buffs?)

Loveless 11-27-2008 05:07 AM

Well the other thread said that force is 1g... and both is 500s each?

A_Forever 11-27-2008 05:08 AM

I am not a sleaze D:

I wouldn't divorce Val because neither of us has the money xD!

I'm poor in game and I think he has less than me

O_O. Darn.
In the korean version it's only 500s... >_>

Blaaaaaaaah 11-27-2008 05:10 AM

Woooooooooow 1 gold.

Pebbles 11-27-2008 05:14 AM

She just got 2g to do it... It's 800s for a forced divorce.

Loveless 11-27-2008 05:15 AM

Oh that's not too bad I guess. Then consented divorce would be half that huh...

Lady-Loki 11-27-2008 01:14 PM

(I think) :lost: I am glad it is implemented, but then, kinda sad . . .

It's as if Eru went off to war and was not heard from and we have assumed the worst and I get a forced divorce and he makes it back home only to find himself single and wandering aimlessly.

I kinda feel sad, in a way. But I have felt sad that Eru does not play from time to time, just as I am sometimes sad that some other people no longer play.

And I miss Eru too, but it would certainly be easier if my girl was married to someone who still plays. :uhoh:

Kaidela 11-27-2008 04:32 PM

Yesss~! I've been waiting for divorce practically since the wedding feature came out... :D;

Phantom Badger 11-27-2008 06:58 PM

More cash for Outspark~

Ralath 11-27-2008 07:47 PM

Well, the divorce itself doesn't cost SparkCash.

It's only if you want to get remarried again...

This isn't a particularly effective Outspark cash-grab.

Ariru 11-29-2008 12:28 PM

Uhm, well..

/Lawl, I was the one that asked Pebbles to check the price.. xD/
(WOOT! Block of text!)

Yeah, the divorce thing is kinda frustrating.
The person you're divorcing has to be online and with you or it wont work.
(Note: I wasted a good 1.6g on it cause I tried Uncontested twice without knowing this.)

If you don't have them with you, a ... I wanna say something other than box but it's all that comes to mind ... Box that reads something along the lines of, "Your spouse wants a divorce."

Dunno really, since I applied for it. >.>;
But the options will read "refuse divorce" or "close" :x
Quite annoying.

So if you're gonna go for divorce, make sure they're there.
(Another Note: This is really stupid, but I think the first option of the divorce type doesn't cost money, but they still have to be there. Stupid no?)

You also have to wait a couple days before getting remarried. :<
It sucks for me, cause I divorced my ... err, 'hubby' to marry Zorros.
(Zorros is MegaPep's mage.. o_o I'm not cheating on him I swear.)
Wewt~
Wedding's either today or anytime between tomorrow and monday >.>
It irks me.

I'll let you know the time you have to wait when I figure it out.
A friend of mine said it was three days.
So, that's how long I'm waiting.

If it's longer or shorter, I'll keep you posted. ^^

I hope this is not actually the case. If it is then how do you get a divorce if the other person does not play at all anymore?

And I tried the second option (on accident, but if it had caused the divorce to happen it would have been okay). But last night I was still married. I am going to wait and see if that status changes. I posted about it last night in this post.

Yeah, I did that too and waited a while, I didn't really see any changes in my status till I saw my friend log in as my ex-hubby and "Your spouse refused to get a divorce." in my System ... again I wanna say box?

Because of the refusal, I tried again and that's how I wasted 1.6g.
800s each time. D:
Not fun, not fun at allllll.

She helped me figure it out, the whole, them having to be there thing.
But I'm not really sure what you should do about it.
If you know anyone that shares accounts with them, you should talk to them maybe? D:
Or someone who knows them irl that could get it for you? x____x;

And you know for sure when you're divorced when a bunch of things come up in your system ... err, box like:
Power of Love skill has been removed.
Marriage Status has been removed.
You are now Single.
^ Like you didn't already know. :3

I'll try to find more out as I go through with it. D:
Sorry I don't know how to help at the moment.
Maybe you should contact a GM in the meantime?

Loveless 11-30-2008 07:17 PM

What's the point of the 'forced' divorce if the other person has to be there and can also refuse causing you to lose even more money.

On a side note, sharing accounts is a bannable offense so I'd keep that on the low if I were you. Suggesting may cause the same consequences.

Lady-Loki 12-02-2008 04:33 AM

The other person does NOT have to be present for the forced divorce. This is confirmed on my mage:

KK, hate to double post - but I have an update.

The second option, uncontested, is confirmed as the forced divorce. My mage lost her marriage buff and wedding pets. I don't know if it was a 3 day delay or 4 day delay since I did not log her on (that I recall) last night, but tonight is is definitely divorced.

I still do not know how much I paid for that divorce since I was not really intending to apply for it at the time I accidentally did, however, I can confirm that the first option, collaborative, took 250s when I intentionally applied for a divorce on my archer girl. I am assuming it took that same amount from Manz when he told the wedding NPC he wanted the divorce also.

And, yes, there is a reason for all this madness - my mage, who is now my main was married to someone who no longer plays so I want her married to Manzcar since we party together more and I am on my mage more than my archer.

Loveless 12-02-2008 04:35 AM

I just saw this but on the patch notes (that mysteriously updates without notice)... it may take up to a week for the 'forced' divorce to complete. So I guess that's a timeframe people can look into and not have to panic that you may have wasted xx amount of silvers.

Ariru 12-03-2008 10:21 AM

Oh outspark..

I wish outspark had given a guide on how to use the Divorce Application.
Then all of this would have been sorted out ages ago. D:

Hessah 12-08-2008 05:30 AM

how could they take 800s from you TWICE... that's rigged...

i wonder if that's a bug coz that's almost like stealing money off players!
