I solo'd til my 20s, then started partying.
Parties. Love them. Accept them. |
Mages need parties, unless you are willing to only stick with killing mobs your level and under.
Find you a cleric and make nice. |
wabbit *o*
|
Kiting works. At later levels. Boring though.
|
And at what lvl does maging start to "pay-off"?
|
i think lvl 60 when they have that frightening nova.
|
i hate kiting. i hate parties (except guild parties). maybe i should've put all end ._.
|
If you prefer to solo your mage:
Invest in scroll making or potion making. Stick to maps that your quests are in. Shroom between kills to regenerate your SP/HP since you will be using alot of pots and stones while killing the mobs. KQs are your friend. |

I hate kiting x.x
|
but flying kites is sooo much fun.
I like the ones that look like dragons. way kewl. |
My dragon kite got caught in the power lines. Stayed up there for years. Everytime I saw it, I thought about how cool it was, before it's untimely death. :cries:
And Manz - I LOVE the new siggy. Too cute!!!!! |
- hugz Spirit -
Let's go fly a kite Up to the highest height Let's go fly a kite And send it soaring Up through the atmosphere Up where the air is clear Oh, let's go fly a kite! Siggy = another Lady creation |
This thread seems to be losing its track xP
But anyhow :D Mages seem to be a pain to level when soloing...a lvl49 mage friend is dying XP because he barely parties up with others...since those he parties up with seem to not know how to hold good aggro etc... Mages at lvl60 = *runs off* D: |

Please forgive my newbiness in MoS >< After visiting a few other threads, I realized that :D |
One tip...
GET USE TO DYING! You'll feel better. (Scrolls are your friend, and never AOE alone) |
;_;
|
I'm surprised you died so much (or died as much as u make it sound like) when your main is an archer...
I thought i was dying heaps coz i was so use to being a cleric (the Mushroom fighter has become my life-long enemy) I almost gave up my mage.. but i think after lvl 25-30 ish.. it gets better... |
Find a worthy Cleric. >3
Other than that... I don't know... I didn't die as much on my Mage and that may be because I am able to kill the mob before it gets to me. Aim scroll is your friend because that miss can cost you your life. :cheeky: @lamchop: No. Go chase that bigger rabbit. |
I soloed on my mage most of the time...
i think part of the trick is not to sting on stones... make tonnes of T1 HP pots and just spam it... |

i don't think i ever died on my archer besides lag and bosses o_o |
I played mage first and honestly had an easier time with it in the beginning than my archer (1-12) because she killed things faster. After that, it was about the same. With all my characters I just went where quests told me to go, I don't care about grinding things that give me more exp as long as I have quests to do. KQs were also a bonus. :x
I normally don't kite and mostly soloed. I shroom when I don't have enough HP to withstand the hits before a mob dies or I don't have enough SP to spam my skills or both. I spam HP Stones and Pots if I must. I started using scrolls around 2X. When I party, I stone/pot more often and shroom less. |
