What if someone who can't play(and probably won't be able to for a REALLY long time) wins?

Or should that person not play at all so they don't take the prize away from other members? o:

Obviously asking because of my situation AND because I am curious. I know you get a tag too, but if someone who can play actually needs some money then well.. I guess it wouldn't be fair to take away their chance and blah blah blah.

How specific do you have to be when you guess?

Put the money on hold, lol.

Or be like me, who is playing only for the little tag as a decoration and will give the gold away to whoever who wants it. :nahnah:

About that "First to post" rule.

Sometimes, some people won't get on in time to get the "first" correct post, but that does not necessarily make them less knowledgeable about the game. I personally don't check nearly as often as I used to, so I was wondering if that rule will remain.

Some might argue that one can "copy" another's answer, but you'll always run into the problem of which one to copy. :nahnah:

@Forever: Yeah, I guess it doesn't hurt to donate the money to a friend you'd like to donate to, or something. You win the money in the end, and you can easily trade it in game anyway.

@Ralath: Hm, you don't have to be entirely specific for 1 point pictures. For example, for the first picture I posted up, werebear is fine. If you posted Werebear's claw like Triumph, then I'll to count that as wrong (as it's really werebear's chest, haha). I personally would like it to be specific but some mobs have really repetitive patterns and such, so it may sometimes prove difficult to be accurate.

For challenge 2 point pictures, however, you will have to be more specific. I will add that to my rules. I will be updating this into the rules.

@Triumph: It doesn't make them less knowledgable but I will have to keep it as first in first served, to keep things simple. There will be far too many complications and factors to take into account if we credit those who post the correct answer afterwards. There is also the problem of timezones, so even those who check FF a lot will not be able to keep winning as we post pictures every 15-20 minutes (at most, depending on FF traffic). Unless they don't sleep or something, of course. Sorry about that!

You can guess as much as you want, provided you only have one guess per post and you are not double posting.

From now on, we will tell you straight away (well as frequent as we can when we're on FF) if you got it right or wrong~

Do you enabled glow while taking the pictures?

Nope, no glow.

Do you flip/rotate pictures?

Nope, never. I just take them out as I see them in my screenshots.

So can I ask why my guess was, in essence, an enhanced bow, but I didn't get the exact + stage right, it was off by 1 and I was considered wrong?

That wasn't a challenge picture from what I saw...

What's so wrong about it?

I mean, what if I were to say, "Enhanced bow glow" as my guess. It's not exactly +7 glowing bow, but the picture was in the general section.

I don't know, I think that if I never said +6, no one would've guessed +7 anytime soon and I was only 1 off... it just bugs me.

To me, if you had answered enhanced bow, then you would have been right. It is an enhanced bow. But the answer +6 bow is wrong because it isn't a +6 bow.

But meh. *shrug* I was getting no where close to the answer.

Yes, it is exactly that.. I couldn't give you the point because +6 enhanced glow is wrong. It was like the example I gave earlier, where Triumph guessed werebear claw and Ralath guessed werebear. If Triumph also had the first guess (though in his case, he answered second), I would have had to given to Ralath too because werebear claw is not right as it is werebear chest.

Sorry about that. I cannot exactly change the rules all the time when a new situation pops up because it will make the game more and more confusing (unless it's something really wrong), though I will take this situation into account if this game ever happens again in the future~ Perhaps I will devise a new point system or something. Always welcome for feedback.

Can't figure out the latest picture, the one with the grey bar.. I think I've had enough guessesand I'm gonna rep whoever ends up getting it haha.

Alright, I am going to ask members to have patience with us. We put these ideas together and try to make them as fun and as fair to all members of the forum. We do not always succeed. We, however; are more than open to suggestions and ideas on how to make the event work better the next time we do it.

So, if you do not agree with something or have an idea or suggestion - Tell us - we welcome them.

We try to imagine different type of scenarios and try to make rules that seem like the best policies. Sometimes, things come up that we failed to think of. We strive to be better at what we do, so please be patient with us and help us improve. Things might not go the way you like right now, but with your ideas and suggestions, we can all make this event better the next time.

Not saying this event is bad. Just saying to please keep in mind, that we cannot think of everything and we want our members to help us.

I was did not see your edits when I posted. And we appreciate the suggestions. I was posting that as more of a genreal comment for everyone, not jsut referring to the Booyah situation. :smile:

Yeah, it is hard even for me. I am already trying to think of hints that I can give. But, it is hard to come up with a hint that won't completely give it away.

I'm hoping I can play off of some people's answer to point ya'll in the right direction.

Screenshots are not needed, :smile:. I just wanted to see the crying icon thingy, because even knowing the answer, I was still :lost:, so I figured it would be a really hard one. But, I can't go in-game and look around, so it makes a difference.

It still amazes me how people guess these right...I've been keeping a track of all the pictures D: Couldn't figure out any of them right D:

Blood - It helps if you are able to log in and go look for things. Me personally, I would suck at this game, so I am glad I do not have to play.

aw man!! I thought of the HP/SP bar... but i was in game and looking at my bars, and even the empty bits are redish or blueish.. not gray!

I guess some of them you really have to run around in game to find some of the things coz.. you dont pay attention to them... LOL! (Didnt even realise there's a fruit sign in roumen)

Hi all, been asleep.

Rules and guidelines will be revised for this event, and hopefully I'll have a better point/rule system running if we plan to do this again.

As for the request for the current picture posted in OP, yes, we can put the most current picture in the OP for the ease of finding it (won't be putting the whole list though).

For the request of the full picture, I am sorry I cannot provide this. The fact is that more than half of these were actually done several months ago, and I have not recorded which picture comes from which screenshot, so I don't remember where they came from anymore! It is also difficult to search through my screenshots with the amount I have on my computer... though if there's any that people really really want to use, I will perhaps try to look for it after my exams are over (19th).

Booyah's guess is yellow, the answer is red, the general area is purple. Obviously getting the answer perfectly correct is fine (the red area). A general guess would hit the red area just fine too since they overlap, but being too specific made him miss the red mark.

It does suck that he didn't get the points, but that's the risk you take when you have a guess. A couple people by now have had close guesses, or hit the general area but have missed the mark and subsequently opened eyes for every other guesser out there. It's just how a guessing game with a hint system like this is going to work. It can work for or against you.

I think for the 1 point guesses people should try to keep a general guess. Like with the elderine fence guess, I was going to be specific and say "avon's fence" but realised there are several fences in elderine that have a similar pattern. So I just went with the elderine fence guess, which I was hoping would be enough to hit the mark.

Is it funny to see all the guess's we've got when u know wat the answer is? LOL!

Yes, especially when I put up Wishis and the guesses were fire nix and dog from the santa slay. Wishis won't be happy, Hyper and Dyna!
