How a noob died...

I partied a cleric in VT on my archer, and about 5 mins into the party... he shroomed and said "afk"

RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE SPAWNS...

I quit party and watched him die...

EDIT: You spelled learnt wrong. It's learned...

Hessah 11-09-2008 03:01 AM

Both way works.. apparently...

Vasu 11-09-2008 03:04 AM

I always used "learnt".
And since Hessah is aussie, I'm hoping that's the British spelling.

Hessah 11-09-2008 03:14 AM

it think it has always been "learnt" but people keep mispelling it, so now learned is in the dictionary too LOL!

/notsure

Yup, so "learnt" is British. But I think "learned" is still used as a noun, even in British English. Like, "He is a learned man."

a.L 11-09-2008 03:24 AM

Indeed.

Ralath 11-09-2008 03:35 AM

burnt? fine. spilt? fine. leapt? ok.

leant? kneelt?????? :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

Blaaaaaaaah 11-09-2008 03:36 AM

Knelt*

Vasu 11-09-2008 03:38 AM

Haven't heard of leant, but my British spell-check doesn't underline it, and knelt is a very very common word.

Learned in that context is an adjective describing man.

kirbysprite 11-09-2008 03:41 AM

Learned can be used as a past tense verb.

I learned how to spell chang.

Blaaaaaaaah 11-09-2008 03:53 AM

I usually spell it the 't' way but I also don't use leant myself, it was a bit odd to say. I think I used "leaned" for that.

Phantom Badger 11-09-2008 10:04 AM
