CP & Noobs

I think CP should have a level limit, like Graveyard and Marlone Hideout. Nobody the correct level there can grind without at least one noob coming and leeching off of them or spamming "Party plz". I mean, how can somebody be so idiotic and lazy? >_<;; They have the stupidest excuses too. One told my party today "I need 100 exp til next level and it takes too long killing stuff my level".
Oh you poor thing lol.

Gah I replied screenshots into the wrong thread. BUT YOS. I feel you.

There is a level 40+ portal in Goblin Camp. But a portal like that for CP would keep noobs ouy but can also keep clerics out

O-mie 09-22-2007 02:46 AM

I swear at first I thought your CP meant child porn D: EWw

Yosei 09-22-2007 04:28 AM

lol @ O-mie.
Um, I don't think Goblin Camp is 40+..

fullback 09-22-2007 04:41 AM

No not goblin camp itself. There is a portal in Goblin Camp it's called like concealed peak that is 40+.

Yosei 09-22-2007 08:26 AM

Ohh, okay ^o^ Well when I get 40, I'll start going to those ;p

Collapsed Prison

Hyper 09-22-2007 09:29 PM

Yosei, I swear you have the best avatars!

That would be helpful for the noob kill-stealers. 40 seems a little high. That would also cut off Goblin Camp, and I usually level there. Maybe like 28-30 & up.

KY_Jelly 09-22-2007 11:21 PM

Bull. I have a party that grinds in gob camp occasionally. our tanker is 29, but everyone else is under 25. we dont bother anyone, we dont KS anyone, and we dont die constantly.

So why should we be cut out from a perfectly good spot to party and grind? restricting something because of a few bad apples is not the answer. Would you like it if they disabled the shout command to stop the gold farming spammers?

Well it wouldnt completely cut of GC but it would make it an incredibly long journey to get there.

I like goblin camp as well I just havent got to go in there since Cb.

Yosei 09-23-2007 04:21 AM

Well there are other ways to get to Goblin Camp. But even if it were like lvl 20+ to get in, that would be nice. I'm just talking about the low levels who go to COLLAPSED PRISON and start attacking your kills, and start asking you to party them over and over.

Lafieru 09-23-2007 03:57 PM

If anyone tries to KS my grind duo, we start luring them deeper into the spawn, then run back as soon as there's a spawn and watch them get 1 hit. It's a great distraction from the grind, and loads of fun =D

Luring Younger King Colls and/or King Colls is always fun too.

"wtf 3k damage??"

Yosei 09-23-2007 08:27 PM

Yeah, that happened to a noob with us. He followed us deeper in, near where the Younger King Coll was, and was like "omg, WTF???" when it got him in one hit. BUT he didn't learn his lesson cuz he came back.

KY_Jelly 09-23-2007 09:41 PM

what they should do is make your EXP loss based not on your level but on the level of the mob that killed you.

that way people still lose more exp every level up cuz they fight stronger monsters, but then we can watch noobs delevel when they get 1 hit by king coll

Not possible to delevel. Once you reach 0 exp, you don't lose any more exp when you die. Handy if you're trying for Monster Joke Punchline.

Dynamics 09-24-2007 01:48 PM

Don't random nubs who wander about in CP get jack-all experience anyway? They can't even hit the monsters. The only real issue here is they disrupt your training by pulling on you, but I could argue that you'd get that crap from anybody, regardless of their level.

But, from experiencing a level 6 trying to take a swipe at my mobs back in CB2, I can feel where your frustration's coming from. They were like flies that didn't shoo. Getting rid of these kinds of players would be a welcome change to me, but a level cap probably won't change the amount of assholes like this you're likely to meet in my opinion.

Yosei 09-24-2007 03:40 PM

One said they get more exp than they do with stuff their own level.

Dynamics 09-24-2007 05:51 PM

He's either lying or fails at math. Anyway, what I should have said was that "it doesn't affect the experience you gain." The central focus here is the player training in CP, not the nub KSing. My mistake.
