GM in KQ O.o
 

I was doing the Mara KQ yesterday on Apoline and when we came to the fake bosses there was a GM standing there. And by standing I mean just standing. He didn't move, he didn't say anything, he just... stood there.

How are they sexy? They're a bunch of polygons in customer service. If you were doing this IRL, it'd be like going up to customer service people in walmart, taking a picture of them and ....well you know, LOL.

No, Gms work for Outspark. Outspark made Fiesta. Because they made Fiesta made Isya, the world of Fiesta. To draw a paralell, God made Earth. That makes Outspark God and the GMs angels.

Outspark didn't make Fiesta. They kind of um... sponsor it? Bought it? o.O dunno what I'm looking for lol. Outspark is a Western gaming company, and Fiesta is the English version of the game Eastern Bright Kingdom ^^

Okay that's just really stupid, LOL. First off, don't bring religion into this. Not everybody is a believer of biblical religions.

Secondly, GMS are ANGELS? EL OH EL.

I come from studying under professors who worked in the gaming industry, I have many friends who are in the gaming industry and tbh, while some GMs DO help out the devs at times, most of them are paid minimum wage and basically have the same stats as a customer service employee.

Heh, Ok time to pipe in.
1) O-mie, I as a GM, am far more than just a GM, my role goes way beyond customer service. Exactly how far, I can't really say though, and I get paid well, I can't talk about that either, but it definately is NOT minimum wage.

2) It is not EMO hair, it's a ponytail.

3) Steam was testing a bug in the KQ, for some reason a mob hit him and his hide mode vanished.

4) Outspark is the US Publisher of fiesta, not the original developer.

I think GMs for EverQuest get paid $20 an hour. That sounds like good pay.

Mhm, it really depends who you're working for. Obviously EQ gms will get paid a lot more than F2P game GMs. Dunno outspark's rates but I recall Flyff Gms getting quiiite a bit less than the EQ salary. :3~

And Kaalan, I know not all GMs have the same responsibilities =P Been there done that, that's all I'm going to say xD Multitasking ftw ~ But still, a lot of application summaries for GM positions I've seen are basically customer service, but its cool if you can do more than that.
