Rude Peoples?!?!!
Clerics, how do you deal with all the rude peoples? When I'm on my cleric and everythings killing everyone and I do my best for a whlie to keep everyone alive but just doesn't work out, I get yelled at! It isn't easy to keep everyone alive, some people might think its just clicking a button every few seconds but things could happen, you could get hit and you need to know who to heal first and which heal should you do? When should you invinc.? Should you fight and get it off you or try to manage both your heal and your party's health? No no easy =/ So watcha think? I want especially clerics to comment and say they're experience :D

*ugh* Same problem here..
Well i try to remain calm in those situations ^^ It depends what kind of party it is ( AoE or KQ ) and for lvl 79+ there wont be a problem with ''who to heal first'' oh and btw use stones/pots for urself and heal the others.. ''Cleric'' is in my opinion ment for support and not fighting in a party. |
I use HP regen on the high defs and spam heal the squishies. When both are getting hit fairly bad, I throw Rejuvenate into the jumble. I invincible the squishies, because that gives time for the tanks to take back aggro, and save the day :P. I can't wait till I become a paladin and get the AOE heal. If they're rude, I just don't bother responding, because if you respond, it shows that you aren't healing and instead concentrating on the rebuttal (this is of course assuming it's a high-adrenalin situation, when someone actually dies, otherwise, chat away).

My experience as a cleric has been that I may have been doing a great job. Everyone is happy and healty pulling mobs. Confidence grows and the pull gets larger even to the point of double pulls. Then, of couse, its my fault when someone dies or at least some plp think so. In a huge pull I generally will not use my invince because I can only use it on one person and who am I to choose who may live and who should die? If every one dies I will be faced with a huge mob. If I must choose who may live and who should die the choice is clear.
Ok fine, clerics support a party. The key word there is support. The ultimate responsablity lies with the one that must face the concequences. |
Ok first you really have to realize how much damage you can handle as a cleric. For me I can handle a fairly good amount of damage so usually I don't worry so much about healing myself and just heal my teammates. I can use some stones on myself if necessary and clerics receive a fair amount of them so you have a pretty good supply. Although it should be the fighter's job to use mock or something to take the enemies from you. Those are the fighters' who actually know how to play. I'd recommend if someone is a squishy teammate as said before heal them and use an invincible on them so you can heal the fighter once or twice before having to go back to the squishy one. From how it sounds the fighter should at least have a pretty good amount of hp/def if they are tanking so should be able to handle a lot of damage and not have to be healed every second. And the hp Regen skill clerics have is good to use on anyone and even in those parties if your fast enough I'd say use it on everyone who is getting hit because it will help out a lot.

before you say people are rude there are 2 possibilities:
1) They are having a bad day this is also their fault for taking it out on others but after a bad day people sometimes have a short fuse 2) They are ****holes ^^ |
I yell back at them and tell the squishies to wait for fighter's Mock and hit the thing that the fighter is hitting!
Its like, if you cant tank, and you make yourself tank, that's your problem! I hate it when Fighters mock 5 mobs, fighter hits Mob #1, mage goes and hit mob #2 and draw aggro, archer hit mob #3 and draw aggro.. OMG the tank is there to tank for you, stop pulling the mobs away!! Teach them how to play THEIR class, and not blame you for THEIR stupidity. If they want to make the party good, then they need to work together not make the cleric's job harder than it already is. |
I got tired of rude annoying spamming people on my mage so I made a cleric so I can be mean to people
"8UFF Pl0X!!!!shift111!!!! 8UFF Pl0X!!!!shift111!!!!8UFF Pl0X!!!!shift111!!!!8UFF Pl0X!!!!shift111!!!!" "0MG NU 8uFF5!? J00 4R3 4 F41lUR3!!!11111" -block, ignore, and walks away.- and then there's the people who always spam "rev plz" in KQs after getting 1hit'd when then knew fully well that would happen..... |
my disguise has been working very well, whenever i'm in town, i hold a level 20 shield and hammer.. and the number of "BUFF PLZ" has significantly reduced...
only smarter people who checks my HP would realise I could buff... |
My g/f is a Cleric and I'm a Fighter.
So, we don't have this problem much. Since my character has extreamly high HP for its level. (if I use Scrolls I'm over 3K at level 37) and I have most of my points in Spirit and the rest split between End and Str. So, I body pull and Mock off the start with the Single Target Taunt on the biggest of the mobs. Then i precide to kill the mobs off depending on the group. Duo I go after easiest first, more then Duo and I go after hardest while everyone else works on the rest that is there. I spam AOE Taunt as fast as I can and keep all Mobs on me. My problems with rude people come from take the other day, was in Uruga and got attacked by a Nox Captain. I tanked it and my g/f did her Cleric duties. Just the duo. It had about 20% health left when a level 60 came up hit it once and ran away. So they got to take xp from us when we did all the work. I just don't like all the Kill Stealing and XP Leeching that goes on. Most MMO Games I play have rules against it and a report system for when it happens. That should be the next thing Outsparks works on adding, a Decent Report system, with CSR representation. That would eliminate quite a few problems in the game. |

I'm still learning to play my cleric. But as far as the party thing goes, it's been pleasant. I just don't like people coming up to me saying "heal" or "buff" (even though I can't buff yet). i guess the language has become so industrial that requests are now shortened to one word expressions without the courtesy once observed. |
Just heal and dun care, keep the tanker alive. They need cleric and so they got to bear with the dieing and let them die until they are scare to get hit first ..... cos dieing = lose Experience.... by then they will know how to let the tanker mock. in another case is they will leave the party and there always another Dps in town.. dun need to worry any shortage of players. Therefore u dun really have to care abt what they comment or tell them back, cos action is the only way to express wat u really wan to tell them.

Wows :D We got clerics here that fight back :P Nice tips Imma just quit party if they get to a point where they're too rude or just don't want to cooperate after the first or second death, I dun need them but they do... Mwuahaha. I also need to be nicer on my main/mage then >.>

they wont realise how hard it is to keep 4 dying people alive... (until they play a cleric) so yeah... show them what the assist action is for!!! |
I just sit in my shroom and do nothing when people are rude :)

It's not easy at all to make sure you don't die (because if you do, other party members will likely do too), and keep the party members alive. From my experience, those that appreciate clerics' heals are ONLY those that have had a cleric character before and knows the pain and the difficulties to healing.
Others? They just don't care. They only care about whether they're alive or not. If they die, they always blame it on the clerics. Why do they not think about using stones and potions? I don't know, perhaps because they're selfish? Or perhaps because they're ill-mannered? :/ Having a fighter as my second main, I always thank clerics for any heals, buffs and blame myself (because it was partly my fault) if any party member dies. Since I know how hard it is from the clerics' point of views, I know I shouldn't blame everything on clerics, and order them to heal me, rudely. :/ |
