The thirteenth is actually Thanksgiving day but I think most people
eat their turkey dinner/celebrate on the sunday of the long weekend.

Don't worry about them. They're just dirty furriners. USA, USA, USA!

Er, sorry about that. Just watched a McCain rally. I think some of it rubbed off on me.

More like Sleemans honeybrown and pumpkin pie

( It's the uncle and grandpas beer of choice so I don't get a say in the matter ;) )

Hraesvelg 10-13-2008 07:13 AM

Why not have both?

Lady-Loki 10-13-2008 01:08 PM

Happy Thanksgiving to you Canadian folk.

Loveless 10-13-2008 07:19 PM

Weee...

-goes to make turkey-

And beer and turkey? ... I would think that the turkey dinner by itself will give you enough of a gut. xD I bet you my neighbours are going to be annoyingly rowdy tonight. I shall be drinking plum wine (before my sister guzzles it down). Yum.

Loveless 10-13-2008 08:34 PM

That's good to know xD

The only real downside to Thanksgiving is... you have turkey sandwiches, soup, pasta, etc for a good couple of days. o___o

Bao 10-13-2008 11:09 PM

darn canadians thinking they're better than us americans with their early thanksgiving and their moose hunting! >=[

pfft.
canadians..only good for 2 things:
bacon and eh?

Loveless 10-13-2008 11:27 PM

... And what might the Americans be good for? I don't recall anything.

MikeyG 10-14-2008 12:57 AM

My familys small, cuz its just my moms side very tight bout 10 of us.
And we had my mosm boyfriend with us .. we dont really celebrate anything
its just an excuse to bring the ps3 to the grandparents house. Have a huge dinner and Sc4 tourneys xD

Loveless 10-14-2008 12:58 AM

Yeah, same here... it's not so much that we're celebrating anything. Just a nice big family dinner. xD

... or for my sister: an excuse to eat more than usual.

10-14-2008 06:46 AM

woot lil late but happy thanks giving!!!

Bao 10-23-2008 10:24 AM

oh dear.
i made one sly joke and everyone goes ape nuts.
i've come to realize that people in this game and on these forums for the most part cannot recognize sarcasm unless said sarcasm is stated obviously like so:

/sarcasmlowlz

someone called me an ignorant tool apparently for making that post.
i do apologize, now i'll just be emotionally unstable and not make anymore jokes.

MikeyG 10-23-2008 02:21 PM

No hint of sarcasm in there, it's very heard to tell sarcasm over the computer
without some kinda of thing hinting it ... like a smilie or throw in an lol. Your comment was offensive and unwanted.

Bao 10-23-2008 07:20 PM

or maybe the concept of a joke is just beyond you.
seriously...
i guess from now on i'll just have to type

/LOL I R BEING SARCASTIC
/LOL I R JUST KIDDING

Loveless 10-23-2008 07:25 PM

I think you're blowing it out of proportion as well, no body went "ape nuts"... most just replied with the same sense of sarcasm about the Americans. That's all.

Bao 10-23-2008 07:28 PM

i had two people call me ignorant and one call me an "ignorant tool"
via reputation i believe.
l0l
its w/e i dont really care, dont take me seriously please, ever.

Loveless 10-23-2008 07:30 PM

Don't worry, I don't.

Spirit 10-23-2008 07:32 PM

FYI, calling names in rep is an infractable offense. You can easily remedy the whole thing by reporting it to a mod, who in turn will see who did it and infract them.

You might not really care about your rep and all, but it might make the person who did it think twice before doing it again to anyone else.

Bao 10-23-2008 07:33 PM

oh well.
if an admin wants to check it out they can.
it doesnt really matter to me i just found it funny someone took me seriously.

wompastompa 10-23-2008 08:27 PM

thanks giving.....I wonder how the story goes in canad???

booyah8876 10-23-2008 10:57 PM

Yes what is the story for Thanksgiving in Canadia?

:O

A_Forever 10-23-2008 11:13 PM

I'd just like to say that I'm sure anyone in this thread has made jokes like Bao did.. especially about us Americans. :x

I know I have. I've made jokes about America/Americans, Canada/Canadians, Jews, France/French.. etc. etc.. >.>

Anyways.. never take Bao seriously unless he's posting pictures of himself @_@
