i finally saw borat the other day
 

wth, do you have to be drunk and/or high to see this movie as funny? imho, that was one of the lamest movies i've ever watched. my expectations were already low when i started watching it but i was still disappointed. how could so many peoplke have thought it was so funny, i don't get you people, it's like at least people in america got hit over the head a few hundred times or drugs got released in the atmosphere that just didn't get to me.

i only watched it out of curiosity because people kept saying it was so funny. and i only watched it cause other people were watching it and they were drunk at the time. coincidence? i think not!

Its like Napolean Dynomite(sp?).

Overall it wasn't very funny...but the bit with the bear was brilliant. Isn't the movie also the one where he tells Bob Barr (current presidential nominee) that the cheese he's eating is made from his wife's breastmilk? I found that funny. Cohen really shone as Ali G, though. His interviews with politicos as Ali G were hilarious. Every time he found someone that took themselves too seriously he just totally took the piss out of them. Great stuff.

What are u talking about about People! that movie was HILARIOUS!!!...................................... .......................NOOOT!!!!!!!! lolz. there were a couple of laugh out loud parts in it, the nude scene was friggin the most obnoxious thing they could have possibly done, but him abducting Pam Anderson was freekin hilarious, that i was in tears at. i honestly cant believe he actually did it. and if that was staged it was very well played out lol.

It had funny parts, especially since i was really ripped while wwatching it but it wasnt awful. But @ yosei napoleon dynamite was horrible.

Don't....its really retarded.

Now superbad, knocked up, and 40 year old virgin are hilarious.

How bad is it in comparison to Epic Movie, Superhero Movie and all that? I don't even know why they bother with that crap.

I'm sorry but Borat..was and is one of the funniest movies ever. If you watched the shows on HBO then you would understand it a little bit more. Their a a lot of good parts in the movie. Like in the beginning when he first arrives in New York. Its brilliant how he's doing random stuff. Jacking off to victoria secret doll....taking a poop outside..etc etc. The bear part was just pure genius. The part where he runs naked in my hometown convention is pure funny. Borat is up their to the caliber of SuperBad and Juno. I though Knocked Up wasnt the best but thats my opinion

Well, of course it rises to the level of Superbad. That's sort of the point of this whole thread. Comparing one bad movie to another bad movie doesn't make your case, heh. Admittedly, I haven't seen Juno, so I can't make comparisons with that. I think the idea of the Borat movie was much better than the execution.

Calling Superbad a bad movie is a sin my man. It was the best movie of 2007.

Juno's really good. Doesn't compare to Superbad.

Juno wasn't funny at all. Im not comparing them to borat either im saying I like those three movies way more and they are alot funnier.
