60 Job Change & First Spider KQ!
Roflpwned is all I can say to describe the events of last night.
After grinding out the last 40% or so of lvl 59 on Blue Clover Trumpies I was FINALLY ready to take my level 60 job change. To be completely honest I found the whole thing to be.........disappointingly easy. The zombies hardly hurt at all, the only thing hard about the 2nd part was getting the wheel to land right. I guess as a fighter I could have expected it to be easy but wow. The third part was interesting at least, but neither of the 2 I had to protect ever got below half health at any point of the mission. All in all, a massive success. Well I just HAAAAAD to try out my new KQ. So I join the next Spider that starts and get to it. Well, I managed to get all the kills for the first part of the quest for it, which was nice. Then just absolute ownage ensued. Everyone ganged up on GS and beat that thing down un-mercifully. I ended up getting a ton of little ones on me, ran them away from the fight. Died, but a few seconds after I revived the GS was killed with like 2 or 3 minutes to spare............just annihilated. All in all, good night. Got to bed around 3:15 AM. |
Fighter's have it easiest especially during the 3rd stage with Mock and Devastate =P
Unless you're lagging, you won't have any problems. Grats I guess. |
Yeah it was really easy for me too...it is easy on every class, except cleric. The third part for the cleric was really hard for me, three attempts before success.
|
Yeah i hvnt heard of anyone failing apart from clerics...
but Gratz non-the-less!! |
Gratz to you on both successes.
L60 Job Quest added to the stress I felt on my cleric because it upset me when my party died sand between those two my cleric went on hiatus. When I did the L60 quest on my mage I was floored at how easy it went. Next up will be my archer and I expect that to go okay. I think having tried the cleric one first I will not be stressed on any of my alts as they go through it. |
Yeah as a mage I find it easy peasy.
I didnt use pots just stones and a cleric buff and some t1 scrolls. |
Killing GS is easy nowadays?
Anyways, congrats ^^ |
It was only ever hard when not everyone had +9s. And even then, fails were rare. Now everyone has some so it's a lot easier.
Nowadays, you have to try to find to fail a GS, let alone kill one. |
Yeah lv 60 job change is dissapointing. I stocked up with alot of hp pots thinking i would need them...Nope used only 2. On Part 2 I guessed it right on the first try so that was easy. Part 3 they didnt lose a single point of Hp....
WHAT?!!? I could never kill GS....We were so close one time.... Gratz |
What was funny about part 2 for me, well.......i was kinda high when I was taking the test. And I didn't notice that the boss dropped something, so I had to do the whole damn 2nd part again to get the piece he dropped. =p
As for Spider. I got the first 2 quests for that KQ done now, just GS himself and some mini's now. I have done this quest 5 times, EVERY group I have been in has gone after the GS kill. Succeeded 3 times, twice I was down when they killed it so I didn't get anything. Damn lag makes it impossible to come back to life fast enough. |
lol, kinda off topic but not really.
Yesterday I did a Spider KQ that failed within 1 minute of the Grave Robbers spawning. I think it was my first one to ever fail. I found it hilarious. But, it seemed like the fighters weren’t mocking and the mages went down fast. We only had tow clerics, so that may have played a role. It failed so quickly that I didn’t know what to do. But, 99.9% of the time Spiders are a success. Gratz on the job change and welcome to Spiders. And yes, as a cleric – the level 60 job change was about the hardest thing I have ever had to do in the game. At one point, I thought I would never pass it. My mage breezed through it and I am actually looking forward to it on my fighter. -- only 119% to go. But, Alas, I have to wait until my master hits 70 before I can hit 60. Which also means my cleric has to hit 70, since my fighter’s master is my cleric’s hubby and they level together. |
We actually had an interesting win the other day because when we started everyone was like 'AHHHH we are gonna lose!!' because we only had one DD in the whole KQ. No archers at all and only 1 mage. And apparently all the fighters were mostly pure END so didn't do much there. So it took us awhile and we were down to just GS which was suprisingly easy thanks to the mage. He was ready for the minis to spawn so just used Nova Frost(I don't have a mage but I think thats right? The aoe Frost skill) to pretty much own all of them:laugh: And I think we finished with about 30 seconds left:nahnah:

You can do the KQ with no DDs even, KQs that easy =o
14 Fighter/ 1 Cleric KQ team. Bit hectic. |
it's a bit hard to imagine people failing Spider when everyone has... 8 hearts!!
surely taking turn getting up and running will last you the half an hr? unless the KQ isnt full... the only time i've never "failed" was when i was lying dead as they killed the GS.. but i dont think i've never seen the "FAIL" sign pop up.. indicating the entire KQ is dead... @Samson - if your party killed the GS.. and u're close enough.. you'll get the quest kill even if u're dead... u might miss out on the chest reward.. but u can still get quest kill =D tested it first hand XD |
job change quest is hard?^^"
(lvl 60 j. change quest...):ninja: |

It's not 'hard' per se for Clerics.
Never saw the big deal, just have to attack them individually to get them onto you. Just have it harder than the other classes. |
Yes, but you are the almighty lvra. Not all of us have your talent, your skill, your..... yeah, I ran out of things.
Seriously, after I failed the 3rd. time, my first thought was, "I'm never gonna do this cuz lvra is away and I can't get him to do it for me." haha. Then I decided to suit up with as much crit as I could, crossed my fingers, and beg for mercy. |
Ok well if anything it was a big pain for clerics than for anyone else. Hate how clerics don't have an AOE move and everyone else does:sigh: But at the moment I would probably still prefer a cleric to another class:nahnah:
|
We do technically have an AoE heal but that sees seldom use due to Heal enpowering. And a pretty useless AoE restore.
|
Yeah I wouldn't call that much of anything considering it doesn't work real well and only takes a few enemies...tried that a couple times before when people just take your enemies and think I only get mayybe 3-5 enemies out of a giant group of them...
|
If you're talking about aggro, it used to do a lot more before they buffed Mock power. Can't honestly say I prefer Recover aggro > Mock aggro, Mock's supposed to draw more.
It serves its purpose well enough the few times multiple party-members are getting hammered and Heal just doesn't cut it. |
Ahhh for some reason I thought thats what you were talking about, never mind my bad. Yeah guess thats true, just wish there was some way you could solve it so that you don't get your enemies stolen by people just randomly walking over to you and mocking so they take the enemies from ya...oh well
|
I guess technically Recover isnt an AOE skill.. its just a party skill right? If it heals everyone within range, even those not in my party.. i'd call it an AOE skill LOL
and we hvnt got Recover at the time of Job change quest so that wasnt very helpful... i use Recover quite often in party... often when all party members got 1-2 hits.. its a waste of SP and time to heal each individual ones.. and Recover works wonders... i think i've put a few point in CD... but that was before we could empower heal... |
On the brightside for clerics however:
Even if you fail numerous times, you get the Kq fail titles ^_^ Yay for clerics !~ haha xD |

True lol, guess it's AoE only in the sense that it'll heal party-members only if they're within a certain distance of you xP Quote:
But but... not like you can invite those useless Roumen and Elderine to party. And aggro from healing doesn't seem to work in the Job-Changes  Quote:
but Heal's so godly now =o |

and.. i still use my recover LOL! I'm not as fast as u when it comes to rotating target through party members so... recover is like a one size fits all option XD |
Lol, the pnly time I remember it being "easy" to kill GS was when we had 4 mages (3 were 67+ for inferno) and 2 archers......nothing stood for more than a few seconds (except GS, Ultras and Madness Grave Robbers)......easy, easy exp. XD.

Maybe someone should go in and fail 100 times with cleric xDDD!!! then they'd get that one title that i dont know the name of atm..but YA! LOL it'd be great xD
|
lolz. gratz! XD
your so lucky that you are a fighter Dx when i did job change on my cleric roumen got to about maybe 300 hp left X_X and elderine had about 1/3 left of her hp at points. i swear i was shouting at myself "OMFG FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL." but somehow i won. lol. my guildie frootloops was helping me with the wheel and she kept on telling em random numbers =P then i stopped listening to her and pressed 6 again and i got through xD but i hated that stun. i would have killid it in less than a minute if that stun wasnt there T.T most sad thing of all was it went by so fast and i couldnt find fraps fast enough to tape it. i zoomed through that thing at around 5:00 AM in the morning. @.@ since it was so early and i barely got sleep, i can barely remember much T.T |

a mage? maybe he was lagging :lost: or he's really dumb XD
|
I don't think he was, never heard him complaining about lag before that or after.
|
I added some ninja text :ninja:
|
*blind* XDDDD
That could be it... yeah that's prolly the reason XD |
