Shield Block is the only aspect of END that remains useful the higher you go.
END has 3 aspects, each point raises HP by 5, it directly lessens physical damage, and applies a fixed block percentage % for every hit that also halves its % increase at the 50 point benefit-cap. I'm sure the 5HP makes a noticable difference when you're in the earlier stages of the game but consider how worthless 5 HP is when you can potentially have HP in the thousands. The slight damage reduction is pointless too when you consider the amount you'll get hit for.
Shield-Block is the only thing that remains useful as it represents a chance to negate 100% from any one hit and the chances of blocking one hit doesn't impact the chance of blocking another. Amount of damage blocked is also not a factor that can make or break tough fights as the same-block that prevents damage from a lvl 1 slime can also prevent all the damage from an enraged Mini-Dragon. Considering also that Clerics are the only class that can increase their block-percentage via the Shield-Block buff, I find the block an unlooked-for, but none the less immensely useful defensive component.
Useful for Fighters too, though they might make use of it more since they're expected to tank.

All the benefits from DEX can be acquired from scrolls. No scroll can give you block % :uhoh:

Once you start aoeing a lot because of healing the mage/archer/fighter A LOT you WILL get aggro and they WILL attack you haha. So might be good as just a fail-safe there just to add some more END. And if you got a +9 weapon like I recommended you would definitely be a pretty strong cleric :laugh:
