is it power leveling... or leaching???
 

Many level 45+ people are being asked by level 30s to power level them, every time i go there i get asked to help power level someone. On apoline its getting out of hand, exp is getting sucked right out of us.:cries: They ask for power leveling... but is it really leaching?

Depends on if they are helping kill mobs or not.

i try to get plvl on my tank, the most i can do on some of the mobs is fetch the baddies and lower thier damage not much else. tho i figure my randomeness makes up for it

During the exp boosts its madness in Collapsed Prison, Yesterday i had 3 people all level 30, they werent doing much work.

But, at least you try to help. At least you use your skills in an attempt to make some difference. I cannot stand people who just stand there and will not even do one single thing.

If its my frind from school ill power level them but if its someone who knows they can kill that monster but wants someone to do it for them.... thats not nice.

If there a cleric its a definete p lvl LOL if there
sitting in there house and not doing anything thats leachin.

i just say stick to helping friends and not plvl c[=

Generally~

Powerlevel: at least helping the person powerleveling you
Leeching: not doin anythin to help the powerleveler

so yeah... that's the difference

And I never powerlevel/help random people, only my apprentices and friends who are in need =D but I gotta level myself sometime too >_>

I thought Plvl and Leeching are basically the same thing. Just different terms to use in a situation where Pro is helping Nub, whose level is significantly lower, level:

Pro is plvling Nub, and
Nub is leeching Pro.

Come on, it's not like Nub is going to help Pro very much. Better to shroom up in a safe spot and not be a cause for worry to Pro :uhoh:

Unless Nub is a cleric, which happens more often than Nub being any other class? [my observations]

Well if there aying you then they can do nothing because there paying you to do that job, but if there just asking to be nice or whatever and they just run behind you then yeah i think that would be leeching, for example I get powerleveld by my uvncle whose a level 60 and im only 37 Q.Q so he takes me to really high places, but even then I still help, like i posion and bleed them. Even if you miss a lot you get a few hits in if your a archer or mage, clerics should just heal, and fighters, most of the time they stick to the back and not help beacuse there afraid that they will die and lose a lot of exp. so yeah, wow i wrote a lot.

Fighters can at least help by chaining Devastate... Unless they're below 43 then the most they can do is... Iunno o.o

Well yeah but sometimes there afraid that thell agro a monster thats not being attacken and it will kill them, and most of the people who want powerlevling is levels like 40 and down beacuse other then that you usually are in a party with people your same level doing quests or grinding.

Depends how you and others look at it. It could be friendship, could me cash. For the record, last time I got pwrleveled was when me, Spirit and Patches we're killing prisoners... I was helping out, and Spirit still called me a leech. Meanie. :tongue:

If it's a cleric healing you while you defeat the monsters then that's powerleveling, that's what I call it...

But then, if you AFK, while the other guy is attacking monsters, I call that leeching...
