|
-.-"""" i live with my family and they are at work not home yet.
|
So which is coming? A hurricane or the tornado? o__O
|
Hurricanes=/=Tornadoes. But it is possible. If its the one heading towards Florida, it should only be a cateogory 1, which isn't bad at all. Just a big windy rain storm. Just chill at home, watch TV until the power goes out (make sure you have supplies with you).

Batteries. Don't forget the batteries!!

I'm in Florida and my area isn't "the biggest threat" but school was supposed to start for me today and got cancelled...*doesn't know whether to be happy or scared* |
Just sleep! ;D
/kidding I would. I bet my brother is going to o: |
I think the worst part is afterwards. But even then, it depends on the strength of the storm. After a category 2 hurricane, we went 4 days without power.

Currently Fay is listed as a Tropical Storm, not a hurricane. She has already made her second landfall, which means she will lose strength slowly as she heads over land. Fay is not what you need to worry about. It will be just like a bad storm, with lots of wind and rain. Fay may cause some tornados to form, so you just need to take precautions if that does happen. Stay in a center room of your house or if you feel safer, you can get in the bathtub and lay down.
Also, keep in mind, that if it was going to be really really bad, your parents would come home. |
The above is not a test of the emergency broadcast service.

Seeing as you're a minor, not much you can do. Otherwise, I'd suggest a hurricane party. I've been to many on the coast. They're a hoot. To impress the ladies, memorize Lear's rant from Act III of the eponymous play.
Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks! rage! blow! You cataracts and hurricanoes, spout Till you have drenched our steeples, drowned the cocks! You sulphurous and thought-executing fires, Vaunt-couriers to oak-cleaving thunderbolts, Singe my white head! And thou, all-shaking thunder, Strike flat the thick rotundity o' the world! Crack nature's molds, all germens spill at once That make ingrateful man! I've only evac'd from one hurricane, and that was Rita. I could have probably stuck it out, but the place was without power for about 19 days. Wouldn't have been pleasant. Things would have gotten repaired sooner had the area not had most of its resources in New Orleans trying to get some order after Katrina. Also, give me an area of the US that ISN'T subject to some sort of natural disasters, be they wildfires, blizards, tornadoes, or earthquakes. |
D: well ima sleep before rain so cys guys
