Is there going to be an item shop?(real money)

Alot of free games have certain items you can buy for real money. Is there word of any shop like this for fiesta? Whats your opinion on it?

Zachias 06-23-2007 09:22 PM

Yes there will be a cash shop, they are doing that already in the other versions, like Flyff, thats what will keep this game F2P forever.

thanks for the info :)

item shops ruin games. It makes it an unfair disadvantage towards people who have money.

Id rather just pay a small monthly fee to play a fair game.

Like Unholy said, first it starts off as an innoccent shop that is there if you want it. Then it turns into a thing that consumes the managements thoughts and all they think about is making money and it ruins the game. (reference to flyff)

Well hopefully Outspark doesn't have the same mentality as Aeonsoft does and keep rolling out new cash shop items rather than fix bugs. I have very high hopes for this game.

Obviously it's going to be a cash shop, how will the otherwise make money.
But I do hope there will be no game breaking items, that ruins either the market or PvP environments by adding overpowered items.

I see no problem with having cosmetics and such. EXP boosters wouldn't be too much of a big problem either since that doesnt directly affect other players.

From what I've seen in game there will be items that increase your inventory capacity as well as storage capacity.
And I'm pretty sure there will be different houses you can regen HP and SP in in the cash shop, as well as different mounts probably.

The item I'm most affraid of (if there is such an item) is one that prevent breaking an item when upgrading. If such an item is in the game it's not longer about luck with upgrading and only about who can shove out the most cash to upgrade.
Also if such an item is tradable it will ruin the market of the game, just look how Spros in Flyff control the market of everything.

Spros in Flyff are absolutely necessary.
The success rates once your item is +4 or 5 drops so much that it's
almost impossible to get it on your 1st try. And without Spros,
failing your 1st try = item disappearing. So Spros are necessary
if you want to have a decent weapon or armor x_x

Note: Some people have tried as many as 120 times just to get
an item from +8 to 9.

Or it could just be your item doesnt get destroyed when you fail (which would leave spros unneccessary).

No it doesn't... Stop pulling random crap out your ass please. I've never seen an Item Shop ruin any game yet. The worst thing I've seen from an MMORPG is exp boost increase for 30days, premium pots, pets that pick up your items(Not even needed in fiesta, but I'd still buy it XD), and something to make your item stay at the + if you fail.

But it still worked out even if you didn't buy it, but I think Fiesta will allow users to sell the premium items in stalls. That is if no one starts to CCF and sell the items for himself.

Have you played flyff?
Every thursday there is a maintenence and instead putting most of there effort towards bugs/glitches they work on implementing things so they can make more money. IE just a couple weeks ago they put a flying cloud into the cashshop and it cost 70$.

Vash 06-24-2007 07:17 PM

^*cares* I swear I care.

If it didnt get destroyed, everyone would
have top of the line gear. No use in that.

NavMan 06-25-2007 12:36 PM

And pd6's would cost a lot.

Anyway, I think the success rate of upgrading in this game is rather high, at least until +5, because I've been seeing many screenshots and hearing many stories of +5 weapons.

chinhchinh 06-25-2007 12:39 PM

FlyFF talk. >_>

Anyway, it has been confirmed on the Officials that there will be a cash shop.

Everyone says that bad things companys being in it just for the money. Well for those of you who are slower.... OF COURSE THEY ARE. A company like Outspark is first and formost a business. What do business' like to do? Make money so they can live.
