STR/END/SPR or STR/END/SPR?
 

Sorry for the weird title. :laugh:

I was going through the many cleric build lists comparing mine to many others and I found some curious questions arising in me.

Orignially my Build for Cleric was going to be 30 END and 25 SPR with the rest in STR. However, I found a number of people saying 50 END, 25 SPR, and rest in STR. :lost:

Then I wanted to see if/who had recommendations. :idea:

So....

30 END, 25 SPR, XX STR

-or-

50 END, 25 SPR, XX STR

:lost: Insight please?

Go with 2 stats instead of three at first.


Putting them in three at a time dilutes them too much. Go either 25spr/end if you want to party. Concentrate all your points until level 20 in spr and you should have 25 spr in free-stat.


Eventually you'll reach the level where you reach the benefit cap of both spr and end. These are 25 and 50 respectively. Any points you put into them after the cap has halved benefit so it's better if you put it somewhere else. It's then that you should start investing in a 3rd stat.


You can also go with as much str if you want instead of end or str if you're going hybrid, or just go full str if you like to solo.


Just don't spread your points thin over 3 stats so soon.

so the END after 50 loses it's block rate? so it wouldn't be .1% each level. So it isn't after 30? Ok then that is cool. I know what I want to do btw. :laugh:

I am doing 50 END, then 25 SPR, then all in STR. I wasn't planning on doing like 1:1:1 deal. Thanks. Insight is still welcomed.

Yes after putting 50 in end it goes from +.1% to +.05% for block rate increase therefore most people stop at getting 50 end. Yeah my build is 25 spr 50 end and rest in str also xD hi5

When i hit the 50/25 cap... i was lost!

I didnt know wat to do with my points.. i've put 3 points in END and realised its a waste... (5 extra HP... yeah right...)

i didnt wanna go STR, coz... i just disbelieve in STR LOL! dispite how much other say STR is good, starting STR after 75 points didnt appeal to me


so i went... SPR... i figured i'd prefer 1% crit, than 10 STR... so...

i dunno if it something to "recommend" but its an alternative to consider?

I personally dont think i'm much worse off than a STR cleric...

but i hvnt really had a chance to compare myself to one

I don't know if this is relevant but a couple of weeks ago in fbz I saw a supposedly according to that guy a full spr cleric build beat a 25 spr 50 end rest in str cleric. Both lvl 7x and I thought it was crazy and it lasted forever but it was still cool :D

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm never thought of putting the rest in spr I was thinking about dex for evasion but that is some food for thought

I wouldnt recommend Dex... you're better off getting Dex from armours than to waste the free-stat point...

I'd say 25 SPR rest STR...

It's hard to mess up a Cleric build.


Just don't exceed caps unless that's what you want and don't add to Int. Heal conquers all.

hehe...debating? I wanted 50 END for slight hp but more so the block rate and the SPR for critical. The last stat I figured was STR just because....who doesn't need extra damage? :think: I surly need more damage. :laugh:

Went 25 spr / 50 end then rest str myself.


Nothing wrong with it, seems to be the stock build.

tbh... 1 point at lvl 6x+ doesnt seem to do anything... LOL

But but.. once you reach that 50END/25SPR cap, it's gonna take extraa looooongg to level to get one new stat point, and it's gonna take quite a while to stock up enough STR to let it make any significant difference!

Well, I'm only saying that because I am a slow leveller. Like Hessah said, I think I'd prefer to build up my crit rate rather than weapon damage.

Besides, you also get MDEF from SPR, which is a bonus! STR gives you strength, but SPR gives you crit AND mdef! XD

Yeah, the benefit should be scaling or they should start giving more points.

i dont think there'll actually be too much different in STR and SPR...

Actually here's somethign else to consider..

wat stat equipment do u use? I use END/DEX which means STR doesnt really benefit me.. but if u use STR, then putting more STR in your build will amplify the effect....

5 Str | 25 End | 5 Spr

Ha. I went pure STR.

Solo cleric is for me, seeing as how I don't like most of the parties anymore.

Or I can duo with a pure STR axe tank, and the rate of killing is amazing.

STR/END gear is a must for me, though. I lack the large amounts of HP, and DEF.

*Note: I used to be pure END. That build fails me so hard.

Ugh. I went 25 SPR: 50 END, and I have been putting the rest in STR. After reading Hess and Blaaaahs posts, now I wonder if I should go SPR now, before I get too far into it.

Spirit if your really concerned just keep going strength. I figured even though getting another Critical Point may or may not be worth it...if you think about it. Just complete 3 licenses on a weapon and u get +critical. Say you get a +9 with no licenses. Just add 3 that you can do and net u the most +critical. Then you will have a really awesome +critical bonus. :smile:

but but.. wat about crit license + SPR crit

OMG...:gasp: How much critical do you want? I wouldn't mind having the 1/4 odds of criticalness but wouldn't it be nice to have the odds of say 1/5 hits plus extra damage behind that power smashing? :smarty:

err yeah ok i'm a crit addict..

I have:
5.x% crit (30 SPR? Cant remember how much SPR i hv atm)
7% (Hammer)
+5% (License, working on it for new hammer but i'll get there)
7%-10% (CS costume)
2% (MD earring)

So at any given time i may have.. about... ~25% give or take...

so that (sort of) translate to a crit every 4 hits.. but sometimes i get 4x crit in a row and i almost got a seizure from the animation LOL!!!

:sigh: And you rather have 5.5% critical from free stat instead of 5% because of why....:lost:

just to keep it all together i guess... LOL!!

yeah... i was thinking that the SPR will help me "amplify" my built..

I wasnt saying taht STR was no good, i only suggested SPR as an alternative.. which i personally prefered keke...

if u use STR/END gear (or plan to get STR/END gear) then STR will probably benefit you more...

Nice crits there Hessah :D I'm a crit addict too which is why I always buy greens with 7 or 8% crit (are 8% crit rare?)

I have critwise
5% from free stat
7-8% from hammer
1% from robo earrings

That's 13-14% crit and if I got the swimsuit that would be 25-26% crit :D
