Don't stereotype me and think just because I like rap and everyone goes "ick" when they hear it...dosent mean I'm straight up gangtah and from the hood >.> I talk like a normal human being...not "Ay mayne lemme git some uh dat shawty"

Yeah....no.

And Speed of Sound...unless I'm getting that confused with Clocks?

A_Forever 07-30-2008 03:15 AM

I also like Yellow by Coldplay o-o && Viva La Vida, ahaha. Don't know why...

Esen 07-30-2008 03:18 AM

Anything (and I really mean anything) that catches my interest, doesn't matter if I don't understand a word they are saying or not... If it doesn't kill the music behind the song for me, they can sings things that don't make sense and I won't care.

^My list is done. :D I'm serious too. But...

I guess if I were to list specifics, the following I've noticed I've liked a number of their songs:

boa - the band, not the singer. I'm missing an accent mark on the o, too lazy to find it.
Enya
Loreena McKinnett - not sure if I spelled her name right.
Daft Punk
Maroon 5
Suneohair
Utada Hikaru
the two people that worked together as See-Saw (I don't remember their names, too lazy to look up)
and others.

My list isn't long at all (since I don't explore much), but I'm too lazy to remember all the ones I do consider a favorite band/singer. Lots of the things I end up liking, I run across by accident. And usually if it was the radio or something, chances are I don't know the name of the person/band or the name of the song. I also probably forgot the lyrics by the time I can look it up.

I have liked songs from all genres (except rap... I've liked songs that included rap, but not pure rap). I won't list any specific ones for songs, too many. @_@ Can't name albums either, in most cases, I don't know.

A_Forever 07-30-2008 03:19 AM

Maroon 5! Omg. I haven't listened to them in so long...

Dojima 07-30-2008 03:19 AM

Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B

Lil' Wayne is best rapper alive...:cutielove:

I don't want to sound ummmm...nvm

Is anyone of that rock... Coldplay = rock? I know Weezer is.

Can you tell me all the best rock songs from your fav composers/bands...

Can you guys please don't give me bands... Give me their best songs, and tell me your fav genre. I'm trying to get new music out of this, so please...

Hraesvelg 07-30-2008 08:56 PM

We're trying to get you to branch out. Listening to one genre is very limiting. Get an album by the band/composer and evaluate it.

Sorry, can't, I'm unable to do so due to my wide variety of interest. In any case, I figure their more popular songs will pop up when you search for that particular group or person. o-o

a.L 07-31-2008 04:19 AM

Yeah, Kajiura Yuki was in FictionJunction. I really like Mezame and Ensei by her.

Oh, really? I never knew that. o-o But then again, I don't really look them up. To be honest, I didn't know her name until I looked up Ensei and took a few listenings to recognized her voice. I only knew the other girl's name because she sang at Anime Expo, haha. Edit: Oh wait... No, I think it was because of Bokurano that I first learning her name, but I didn't recognize it when I saw it until after that concert thing.

I'm not quite a fan of older music (Although I love me a good symphony now-and-again.), but I like Billie Holiday and Edith Piaf.

I think I've been listening to the French top songs too much, but I'm loving American Boy by Estelle. @_@

a.L 07-31-2008 08:32 AM

I'm sick of the song now.

Can you guys please give me more songs... I don't want just bands... How am I suppose to know what's good? Please tell me songs, instead of just bands.

A_Forever 08-02-2008 08:07 PM

The bands are good. Buy an album by a band or download one and listen to it. You don't just listen to one or two songs of a bands songs. ...

Just search the bands up on Youtube. Find songs you like and get the single or album. Not hard.

And besides, we can't tell you what to like. Our taste in music can be a lot different.

Hraesvelg 08-03-2008 12:36 AM

Exactly. And while I may like some songs by a band, some other people might like something else by the same band. I like "Love Shack" and "Roam" by the B-52s, but I don't like "Rock Lobster", yet "Rock Lobster' made Rolling Stone's top 500 songs of all time. Go figure.
