Double-checking before I report a bug
 

Okay, I think I am having some issues in the game, but wanted to make sure I was doing things correctly before I went to outspark and reported it.

I cannot allocate items - If I have 50 scrolls and I want to put 25 in storage, I hold down my "shift" button and left click on the product - I do not get a little allocation box. I have also tried right clicking while holding down "shift". Am I doing something wrong??

I cannot sell lump sums of my items - If I have 50 scrolls and I want to sell all 50, I hold down my "shift" button and right click on the product, yet I still only sell them one at a time. I have also tried the "control" key. Am I doing something wrong??

I had these same issues on CB2, and reported them, but I seem to have the same issues in OB. Lady_Loki can allocate and sell lump sums of items, even with her walking me through it as she does it, my character cannot do these things. And it is on ALL of my characters, not just one.

I got that before, it turned out to be lag from the servers side. Just relog.

Wait.. I though you shift+left click when you want to sell your items (i.e. your copper lumps) and shift+right click when you want to separate a stack of scrolls within your inventory.

I always get them mixed up but that's what I thought, have you tried both combinations for both things?

:(. Alas! Yes, I have tried everything, and it is everytime I log on. I also had to download the new program going into OB, and this problem plagued me in CB2, but I will go home, uninstall the program, and reinstall it. If that does not work, I guess I will continue trading things to Lady_Loki, have her allocate them, and trade them back to me. *sighs*

Have you tried Ctrl+Click?

Ctrl+which click? left or right? I think I have tried both.

Try all combos.. Ctrl+right/left click and shift+right/left click.

If not, then try logging into another account (on the same computer/game client) and see if it works on another account. If it works, then it's probably just your account.. if not.. it's your computer/game client maybe, although I don't know how that works out (I'm a computer newb =P).

Oh noes, yea that doesn't sound right at all... But from another one of your posts you said your DL was like 15 min.. maybe some components couldn't keep up with your download speed D:

Oow!! So having a super fast computer is not always a good thing, lol. Yeah, my download was very very fast. I started at 9:04 to download and had all four of my characters made and was playing my Mage by 9:30. When I first got logged in, there were maybe a dozen players in the game, lol.

So, if it is the components that cannot keep up, is there any point in trying to uninstall and redownload?

I am usually on from 8:00 p.m. CDT until around 11:00 p.m. CDT. Sometimes I am afk though, because of family issues. Lady_Loki is usually on at the same time, but because her kids (me) are grown and have moved out, she gets to get on a lot earlier than 8:00 p.m. Depending on what time you play, you might have better luck catching her on-line.

This weekend we will probably both be on almost all weekend, lol. Plus we get an extra day!!! Now, I just have to talk my kids and hubby into leaving me alone, lol.

Just want to double-check because you do crazy stuff like reinstalling, are you using your left-shift key to do this? In this game, for whatever reason, you have to use the left keys . . . right shift, right control, right alt, don't work . . .

If not, then I have no idea. =x

I am left-handed, therefore my left hand stays on my mouse, while my right hand works my shortcut keys, my movement, and everything else!!!!! The only time I use my left hand on the keyboard is to chat. I have been using the "right" shift, control, and etc.!!! I will go home today and try it out.
It may be hard for me to get used to at first, but I don't have to allocate all the time, and I don't have to lump sell things all the time. So, maybe contorting my hands for a few seconds, won't be too bad.

Thanks for the heads-up. I still have not uninstalled and reinstalled, due to the fact that I wanted the play time and Lady_Loki was on all weekend with me, so I used her (thanks momma). Hopefully, this will save me from having to do just that!!!!!

ez..probally ure key needed to alloc is getting bad. so all you needa do is go into options and change the shortcut key for allocation. say change it to "A + left click" from "shift + left click". that might work becasue i remember i had shift + # for hotkeys and sometimes the shift didnt get reconinzed. so i changed them all to cntr + #'s. might be a fix for it, or its your comp. but most likely ure shift on ure keyboard sucks

Guess what??? After reading your post, I went home and tried it, and it worked. It was because I was using the "right" keys and not the "left" keys. I can allocate and sell in lump sums now!!! Yah!!!! Thanks so much for the advice.

ummm..... brand new computer, brand new keyboard (which I upgraded highly so it is super fast and kicks @$$), my keys aren't going bad, it was the "left" keys versus the "right" keys. But, thanks for the advice. I may go in and try changing by shortcut keys to make them more friendly to me being left-handed.

you're lefthanded aren't you? download keylay. use it to swap left and right shift. there you go. i had to do the same thing for all my games i play.
