How to 'enhance' your item(s)!

You'd like a shiney cool weapon like everyone else right, but just you do not know how? Well here is a quick guide on doing so.

First press K and go to the Alchemy tab. Learn Stone Production(-NOTE- You can only learn 2/3). Then go to the skill lady in any town. Learn the stone recipe skills. Right click the item and learn the recipe. Now press k and drag the stone production skill to the skill try and/or right click it.

Now you'll open up a window with Elrue in the list. If you see tier 1 all in green you did it correctly so far. Now click the Elrue (The first one that appears) start making them if you can. If you cannot go kill some monsters that drop the item(s) that you need. Now you got the Elrue Stones. Go to the Black Smith and click Refine item. Put your item in the center that you'd like to enhance. Drag the Elrue stone into one of the slots around the center(You need it in a peice of 1. If it is stacked up more than one just shift click the stack and type in 1)

Now just hope that it goes all good. There is a chance that it can be reduce by 1 plus and/or break the item.

+1 & +2 has nothing special.
+3 makes your item shining silver.(Like gloss on the item)
+4 makes it shine red.
+5 has blue swirls around the item.
+6 Has blue swirls and some sort of red code line go around it also.
+7 ??
+8 Has a big red fog around it and same as +6, but the swirls is red.
+9 ??

I'll post screenshots if I ever see the those +'s again. I broke my weapon twice going for +5 and twice again for +6. <I gotten +3's and 4's from Slime King.>

Need help? Just post where you need help.

<Screenshots of +'s>
I should get 3~7 later on today.. At least I think. Well here is +3,5,6

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...line/Items.jpg

The swords have a lighting thingy when +5 hard to tell.

Mithikal 06-24-2007 01:30 PM

Vash I think I saw you in town the other day, was that a +8 you had?

NavMan 06-24-2007 02:01 PM

Nice guide. Needs to be put into the correct section though.

XD Sorry, but credit goes to me LOL

NavMan 06-26-2007 11:36 AM

OK so I bought the Elrue production skill scroll, learned it by right clicking. Now its permanently in the alchemy tab of my skills window.

Then what do I do? I've tried right clicking the skill but nothing happens.

Rightclaw 06-26-2007 11:39 AM

Did you learn both your alchemy skills (Stone and/or Scroll, Potion)?

If you did, just drag the Stone production skill into a hotkey, and press it. From then on it's pretty much self explanatory.

NavMan 06-26-2007 11:45 AM

Ahhh, I was trying to drag the actual Elrue production skill lol. No wonder it didn't work.

Rightclaw 06-26-2007 11:47 AM

Hmm...I'm going to sticky this.

Blaaaaaaaah 06-27-2007 01:03 PM

Just a question.

You know how you said to Shift+click to move just one? How come it doesn't work for me? It doesn't work even if I'm trying to put it in the bank. The Item Allocation box pops up but even if I put in "1" it moves two around. Any ideas?

Edit: and I also use Lix to upgrade from +4 to +5 and +5 to +6, right?

Edit again: ooh nevermind I got it now! I was trying to drag it into the refine box but I realise you can only drag it into another free space in the inventory xD

Yay Item to +5 although it failed the first time.

Edit AGAIN:

So, since there's like 8 boxes to put your Lix in, does that mean that if you fill up all 8 boxes, it would definitely be successful??

Hey vash,i have a question. I want to make my enhanced weapon, and i already selected scroll production and potion production as skills is it possible to change them back?

Flyingdot 06-29-2007 08:19 AM

Hum think your guide about the weapon effects is not totally right.
+6 on bows has a pink/red flash light glowing around the weapon and two ribbons like (green and red ) wrapping around it , for spikes it just the red/pink glow .
for +7 for bows , there's like a orange glow added to the +6 glow (don't have a picture of it tho)
and for spikes there's the glowing code thing around it ; I dunno yet about +8 or +9 weapon effects.

i'll add later to this reply two screenshots with those effects on it.

Blaaaaaaaah 06-29-2007 08:50 AM

Ok I've got screens of some different +bows.

This one I forgot what it was. It was either +2 or +4, but if you say that +2 has no effects, then it has to be +4. It was definitely not +3 though.

This is +5.
http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/270/bow5pv5.jpg

This is +6.
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/4492/bow6aw6.jpg

This is +7.
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/521/bow72mj0.jpg

Not sure about this one, it looks like a +7 too but it looks brighter for some reason.. maybe because it's an extra close up.
http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/6984/bow7lg8.jpg

I don't know what + this is but obviously it's one of the higher ones. So pretty!

Vash 06-30-2007 04:48 AM

^I think thats +9 since I seen a GM saying that a bow looking like that at +9

Pritcher 07-03-2007 06:16 PM

That one's +8, unless they switched the numbers in the translation. Here's a pic with all 9 bow enhancements:

I like +7 best I think, but 8 is pretty slick too. +9 looks a little plain, but I've never seen it animated so it's probably cooler than it looks in a still shot.

Rightclaw 07-03-2007 06:52 PM

+8 looks so cool @_____@

Vash 07-03-2007 07:34 PM

Well we got the swords and bow. Now to get shield, staff, and cleric D:

Mazin 08-30-2007 11:15 PM

Yes, but the pattern for Mages when placing them is top then left then top left for +3 and for Clerics its top then left then right; all I no is what I'v told.

rasonage 09-23-2007 03:56 PM

anyone know what the lower 3 fields are for in refinement?

amasoon2472 09-29-2007 08:23 PM

thanks for the valued info

I really needed that info on how to refine my weapon.
I lost 2 lvl 20 sords a shield prbably 6 lvl15 swords trying to refine them.
Then I saw a message once I was refining I got the title unlucky enchanter.
So this will say that there is experience and training in refining to.
I bought a few lvl 1 swords and used a LOT of elrues and yes there is a skill to train . In one session I got my lvl15 sword up to +6 and and the failures and breaks are getting less.
So guys dont start refining your expencive weapons just to get them shiny.
This is my experience.
I just love the game

Entropicurity 11-13-2007 11:16 PM

About that button...

Sorry to revive this thread though I feel its helpfull to a point and then I get confused.

Once you have your weapon and your ore you hit the button, the button changes and the boxes glow in succession. What does the changed button do and does it really matter where you put the ore? I've put it on the top straight through and it works up to +3 one out of four times... which is expensive, or is this the norm?

Thanks in advance for any clarity or any knowledge as to what that button does...

Hessah 11-13-2007 11:22 PM

Does the changed button say "enhancing in progress" or something? Is that the button u're talking about? If it is, it does nothing, and you cant stop an enhancement once u've started.

It shouldn't really matter were u put your ore, supposingly it's a random thing. But i've had more success in the top box than the box on left or right.

ecchix3 11-13-2007 11:49 PM

Dx The +Bows look secks.

Lackluster 11-14-2007 02:02 AM

The glows for all the weapons are different.....So..you need alot more screenies D:

Yangster 11-14-2007 07:04 AM

craappppp! I just broke my weapon today! And I didnt have the money to back it up! it's all GREED's fault.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO BACK YOURSELF UP GUYS otherwise you hate GREED... ok all done :)

ChosenDragon 12-04-2007 12:02 PM

soemone asked earlier and it wasnt answered, do i get 100% success if when enhancing i fill up all the spaces with elures (or whatever stone)

toolrocket 12-04-2007 01:01 PM

Also, what's this magic pattern i keep hearing everyone brag about?

[]K[] 12-06-2007 07:27 AM

no, you may only put one stone at a time. The yellow and blue slots are for the new tiems called eyes. They are from the cashshop. All weapons have different glow imo. AND I WANT TO KNOWN THE MAGIC PATTERN TOO! Q.Q
