Something I noticed about Teva/Tevans
 

Well I (re)started a mage on Teva last night and went from lvl1 to lvl17 or 18. Here are a couple observations from a new, low-level on Teva…

1. Out of about 6 hours of game play, I think I only went about 1.5 without an HP/SP buff, and I never asked for one (but always said thanks when I noticed it).

2. Vendor stuff is more expensive (stones esp.) than on Epith.

3. Other newbies seemed to know more about what to do, where to go, and how to act. I assume this is coz many of them are alts.

4. I only saw 4 incidents of KSing in 6 hours, and one I'm convinced was due to lag, and the other three I'm almost certain were accidental (ranged player KSed melee player).

5. Other newbies seemed less friendly :( I'm guessing this may also be because they are higher-level player's alts, but still. I tried to party about 12-15 times, of those only 3 replied *at all*. Of those 3, one asked if this was my main and when I said yes they warped. One person agreed but then ran off to gawd-knows-where, and the last person that agreed was awesome (glad I met her:)).

Now I’m not the person that just throws random pty invites. I look to make sure we may have similar goals (mobs, quests, level, etc…) then I ask via chat if they are interested first. This has always worked for me as a cleric on Epith, so maybe someone can suggest something else, but I hope this changes in the 2x/3x range coz ima need a cleric soon! ;)

Clerics who recently get Endure or a higher tier sometimes go spamming it.


Lots of that in Teva.


And yeah, other differences, Teva always felt more like the 'stable' server.


Not connection-wise thpough.

When people ask if thats your main that usually means they think your too good to be a newbie or they ask everyone that. Just say "No I got a [fill in class and lv here]".

Dont really know how to ask for pt I just duo with cleric if we're questing or beg for a pt for abyss, cant help you at low lvs...

I've never been on any of the other servers but you get the drive by buffs like crazy. I have even had my vending characters get buffed while I was at work.

So are you playing on Teva now or just messing around on Teva?

Ill be playing actively on Teva as well. I'll likely be splitting my time almost 50/50 between my teva-mage and epith-cleric.

Gonna get the mage to 20 and do jcq first tho, then split my time.

Lol I got a cleric on Teva and a Mage on Epith. I made one on Epith because Teva was down...

I've noticed the buff thing too! XD

your party problem might be because you're a mage and not a cleric on Teva... its always easier to find a party as a cleric than any other class.. at low levels...

as for buffs... its strange.. i was bored the other day so i stood next to shutian expected to be spammed with "buff plz".... but... i only got 1 or 2 spam... and everyone else i clicked on is already buffed O_O

Im glad you said at Low levels. A cleric getting a random party in Trumpy Remains is like trying to find a needle in a haystack

i think why you od it becase teva was the very first usa sever so the price have never changes like the otther sever like the hp stone

he meant the enhancing stones from people's shop..

HP/SP stones from NPC are the same for all servers....

I think people in Teva are overall richer than other servers...

T2 scrolls are being sold at 3s, and T3 scrolsl for 9s+ in elderine O_O

it use to be 1.5s and 6s respectively...

clerics are the pt masters on teva and mages is wen u hit like 60+
most of the time cuz of nova lol and yea ppl aget buffed like mad on
teva but if u ever see me in noob mode ask for a buff cuz im always walking
around with my +5 lvl 1 mace and +3 lvl 1 shield to aviod getting
buff spammers

We're the land of the Closed Beta Tester title. We got a lot of players who have been playing awhile, been there, done that, and sick of it. Some people are a little prejudice.

People don't bother to party as much in that level range, because it goes by pretty quickly.


You'll get more in 2x-3x.

getting a party in 2x - 3x is easy. if you go somewhere where people commonly go for a quest and ask if anyone else is doing that quest or just killing the same monsters you'll probably get invited by someone. then a cleric is either already there, the oe that invited you, or will be there soon. also at some of the big quest monsters like zombie master and ghost slime there will already be people there just asking if anyone needs help with it.

I soloed for the ZM and Ghost Slime quest :zomg:

And I also noticed that Spirit is very nice...even if it is close to her bedtime :zip:

besides what would ppl say about a 7x cleric and a 1x mage? Its just not done, wouldnt be right, forbidden fruit...LMAO
