What do you do when someone ks's you?
 

This is what I do.

I have two monsters on me. Some random person attacks him...

I say, "No ks please"

Now they say:

1. "I wasn't ksing."
2. "I'm helping you."
3. *complete silence*

I say:

1. Yeah you are, both monsters are attacking me.
2. Not to be rude, but if I wanted help I would of asked for it.
3. *runs away*

Now they say whatever they want. Like:

"That's rude."
"Okay, sorry."
"I WASN'T KSING YOU!!!"

And I just walk away.

Wasn't there an identical thread about this not so long ago?

I'm pro-active..

they KS me once.. I'd probably say "what are you doing?" and i'll stop attacking and watch them...

Scenario 1: they want to use me as a free meat shield, they will not attack until I attack, so I stop and watch and see if they go fight something else.. if they dont.. they i get on my hobby and does a trip around the world and ignore them

Scenario 2: They go and hit something else... so i pick another mob they cant reach...

Saying "dont KS" hardly ever works... my aim is to not let myself be their free meat shield...

Usually I get KS'd by lower level people in MT or VT, and they can't handle one mob, so I NP them.

Say "don't make me give you an STD." (I'll say STI from now on, Spirit!! xD I've been taught by the master~.)

Or I'll dance on them.

Or friend them, party them, then take them to an area they can't handle and bring their exp down to 0%! :)

It's easier for people to trust you if you're a Cleric.

I don't normally get KS.. *thinks* ... Yeah, rarely happens to me. If someone is attacking the same one I'm attacking, I will go "Er... o_O" or something. If they don't stop or go away, then I will. In most cases, though, they stop or go away. I guess I'm lucky? I don't really run into jerks a lot.

If they are attacking a mob that is hitting me, but I haven't attacked at all, I honestly don't care.

Doesn't happen often to me. If it does, I just shrug it off. Arguments resulting from kill stealing really isn't worth my time.

What usually happens with me is that I attack a mob and while my spell is on it's way it aggroes another player. I keep attacking it, cos I did attach first (and it usually comes after me after the 2nd spell hits). Is this ksing or not? Cos I do get accused of KSing and IMHO this is not ksing.

When that happens, I just stop attacking and target another mob.

If it happens once or twice there is no need to say anything. Sometimes if you have selected a monster and are approaching to attack (cleric) a mage or archer may also attack from a distance or a fighter may be coming also. You may not have seen them and they may not have seen you. Once you have captured the aggression (agro) what else can you do but to continue to attack? If you run they follow and you end up with a mob on you. I don't consider that a kill steal. When someone waits while your attacking until the monsters SP is low and then comes in to deliver the death blow, thats a kill steal.

As to drops, there is plenty of time to pick up your drops before anyone else can get them. You snooze you lose.

My exact words each time are "dun ks" .

I dont even talk, I just screenie and send to Fiesta_Help if I get the 2nd KS by the same person.

If I see it's by accident, then I just ignore it...and it usually doesn't happen again. But if I see they're doing it on purpose...then I flat out tell em' off and click report :)

The report button is bugged... D: /It doesn't work

I just say, "Stop ksing." If it doesn't stop, I screenie it and... let the screenie sit around in my Fraps folder for all eternity. :D *Really lazy.*

Since I'm usually in the abyss; they die.


If I'm outside, I usually just continue on, very rarely would someone actually steal the kill (because kills are the only thing that matters outside of abyss, cuz i only quest there)

I usually dun say anything the first KS, then a second KS gets a "pls dun KS"
...if they are new, they sometimes ask wot KS is, then I splain.

Else its either accidental and it doesnt happen again anyhow, or its on purpose and u cant really do anything but screenie-report and leave.

Sometimes I do something like Scenario 1, but it involves warp back to town...rare tho (twice eva).

meyb lvl47+ clerics should go to noob maps and shout they they will buff anyone who can define KS properly?:cheeky:

I don't think I've ever been seriously KSed except that one time a party blatantly tried to steal a ZK spawn.

Epic fail on my part.

I don't do anything. If the person is that desperate for xp that they have to KS than telling them or warning them is gonna do nothing. I remember a guy once back in the sea of greed was not only KS put doing it in an obvious manner. Everyone that attacked a mob he would run up to hit it once and then move on.

I said nothing cause obvious he needed the xp more than me.

Someone kept on following me around and ksing me so I led that person to GC and watched him die.............. maybe I'm just evil

If it is once and an accident its fine but if on purpose then I will just tell them and hope that that person has some goodness in him to not do it again (usually never happens)
