the 30 second wait between posts

I'm begging you to decrease it, maybe cut it in half? it just seems like it's too long when i can make a post, got to another section of the forum, read a post or two and try to make a reply just to find out i have a few more seconds to wait before i can :(

Dynamics 08-27-2007 03:53 AM

I can't believe you can read that fast. I take like a minute between each thread, unless I'm skimming through the mountain of spam or screenshot section. The 30 seconds between posts limit is to prevent accidental double-postings, and also to reduce unwanted spam. I mean remember that thread Niion made talking to himself? Without the limits, who knows how many pages that crazy man could have achieved.

i think the 30 second wait is fine really or else we would have people merely spammin to up post count..well we already have that but meh you get what I mean.:D

Yosei 08-27-2007 04:13 AM

o.o its only 30 seconds..

O-mie 08-27-2007 04:24 AM

I never have a problem with it ;o

i didn't see that thread, here's an old thread of mine from FW spam central:

http://www.flyffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14138

i'm used to flying around from topic to topic when i'm doing hw, if the posts aren't really long i can get through a couple in 30 seconds if i've been active that night cause then i only have 1 or 2 posts to read in that topic. i guess i'm just used to the 15 second limit of FW.

+Tequila+ 08-27-2007 04:51 AM

heh 30 secs is still fine...an hopefully it will not be changed >D

The 30 second wait between each post is flood control, this allows FF to be less spammy. I also have it on my forum, an idea is to decrease it when a user becomes a premium member.

How many posts is it to become a premium member on FF again?

i don't like setting posting goals, it cause too many people to try to spam getting there >_<

Blaaaaaaaah 08-27-2007 08:53 AM

Hmm it seems like no one else had the problem though.. personally I didn't even realise it existed.

It's a good thing, it makes you work on your homework for an extra 15 seconds. /ridicule

D: i just finished somethign that was supposed to take me a week in 3 hours (took longer cause i had to find a couple more programs and didn't know what i was doing at first) while browsing FW and FF, i think i can handle a shorter wait :ridicule:

Centrix 08-27-2007 03:57 PM

Some people aren't 12 and 14 years old anymore and have more experience in typing and reading fast.

The 30 seconds is too much, make it 10 or 15... thats more reasonable.

Rightclaw 08-27-2007 09:44 PM

I think the 30 second wait is fine. Maybe it's just cause I read at an average level. e_e

Rofl, I didn't even know it existed until just now.

Centrix 08-27-2007 10:38 PM

Lol noob, and you call yourself a moderators LAWL

j/k :P (although I have to admit I know more than you >.>)

anyways XD

its just spam prevention, so just leave it or w/e

MaxOff 08-27-2007 11:20 PM

instead of reducing the limit, u may invest more time in thinking about ure writing.
But, i can understand that u wont need 30secs to post a short comment in any open thread .

Heh -hi5-!

Yes I don't think 30 seconds (omg so tempted to type "cooldown" after this) are too long. I'd prefer to keep FF less spammable.
