Mace or Hammer?
 

i forgot which is which ... *feels so annoyed*

hammers do 3times the damage of maces and are only .3 seconds slower

hammers ftw.

emmm i pick hammer i guess...

Mace: 1 attack per 1.1 sec
Hammer: 1 attack per 1.3 sec.

Hammer dmg = 1.4 ~ 1.5 times mace dmg

With all respect: why the hell do we need mace ?

I was thinking of trying mace because theres some different attack skills for cleric that are specifically for mace and hammer later on. I haven't reach those levels yet to test them. Just wondering if anyone did and will share experiences.

hehe i used hammer up till lvl 42 then switched to mace for better accuracy :D hammers miss miss in pve and pvp but thats jus my 2 cents :D stay hammer please :eek: i wish to be the only mace cleric in CB2 :cool:

There is one extra level of Mace Mastery more than Hammer Mastery, as there's 6 levels of Mace Mastery compared to 5 levels of Hammer Mastery.

In the end I think it balances out somewhat, I'd throw my lot in with the Mace at the very end.

yea read the stats of the hammer then compare them with the mace they may outdmg maces but maces hit more and and a bit faster like i said :D plus maces are smexy:cool:

If i am not wrong, hammer deals alot more, even though it's less accurate(Or was it the speed factor?). I think i'll still go along with hammer.

hammer is bth slower and less accurate.
I think later on in the higher levels by the time you land 2 hits with the hammer you'll probably be getting in 6 or 7 mace hits :o

But by then, Axe damage should be about 100+ than maces

hehe thats what i said hammer hits harder...but meh what good is dmg if you cant hit anything?

i think the situation might determine what you use. I think the good side of a mace for me is that i almost always get critical hits =D

There are advantages and disadvantages to each.

From what i saw, hammer dmg is kinda nice. But really, nothing makes you bad than Casting bash[5] *Poofwaafpoof* and the result is: Miss. even with aim scroll sometimes -.-'
I think i'm going to use the mace at level 20 to 30 and see what to do after. ;)

i'm not a math wiz, but if you want to measure DPS then lets take how many hits each can do in 20 seconds. hammer will hit 15 times and mace will hit 18. lets say both hit for only 10 damage(and asume they are same level). mace will do 180. and lets say hammer hits for 67%(16damage) more than mace, hammer will do 240damage in the same 20seconds. also hammer has a better chane to hit, and i dunno about you but i almost never miss yellow mobs.

hammer wins that dps game.

edit, i got a +3mace today from a mara KQ. i enchanted it to +6. and a lvl 20 +1 hammer still hits harder(like 3-5points more) since i had a back up i tried to enchant the hammer, but it blew up the first try. guess i'll be using a mace till lvl 30.

i prefer maces for the extra aim and speed

I used the level 30 hammer just because it looked bad-ass.

i was checking my free stat window just before browsing the forum and an interesting thought came to my mind. hope i can explain with my poor english :)

so every point of STR added gives 1 dmg to my fighter - should be the same for a cleric- this far. every 5th point adds 2.
now i was wondering if these points are the same if one is using a mace or a hammer.
like lets say someone has put 50 points into str, that would add 60 to dmg. now if its the same 60 points dmg bonus for both the mace and the hammer, then with the mace's faster attack speed - after adding enough str - it could do more dmg over time as the hammer. hope you see what i mean.

also, maces got lower crit rate, but higher accuracy which could even out somewhat. but missing with the faster mace is not as bad as missing with the slower hammer. less dmg is lost and the next hit comes faster.

any thoughts on this?
