[FF Update] New Update with Tags

An update for FiestaFan

We are planning to remove all guild tags. Main two reasons are:

We would like it so that ALL tags should only be obtainable from FiestaFan events.
There are too many guild tags where guild forums are not even active. People can easily get tags with their guild names by making a forum, but not even posting in it.

We could have made a criteria for what guilds are determined to be active enough to retain the guild tag, however, this criteria would not really pick up the active guild forums anyway (e.g. people can make a spam post in it just to claim that it is active.). Instead of trying to determine what guilds are active or not, we've decided to just remove all guild tags (mainly to also avoid unequity and unfairness to any guild if some were determined not to be active).

Sorry! We know that those with guild tags may be disappointed, but we'd really like to make the tags are only official FF tags from now on.

I will be removing it in about 3-4 days, so please save your tags if you wish to keep the file.

On a better note, we've decided to also give tags for member-ran events. Here are the limits:

Tags will only be for one week.
Tags will have the same design as SSOTW tags (the green one)
Tags will have ME (Member Event) instead of FF on the grey side.
Host of event must PM an administrator (Rightclaw or I) when there is a new winner for the event, just in case we missed it.

Criteria for events that can have official tags for the winners:

Your event must be novel! By novel, we mean that the event must have some sort of meaning to it and require participants to put efforts into entries. Events like "guess what colour I am thinking!" are not novel.
Must have gone through at least 4 rounds with substantial amount of participation.
Preferably at least 4-5 participants each round.
If you have one odd round where you had little participation, it does not mean your event cannot be part of it. Sometimes, themes and such come into play for that, so as long as you have at least 4 rounds of good participation in the a relatively "short" period of time, then it's okay.
Member of the host should come up with an appropriate tag name for the winners of their event should their event be taken part into this (max limit: 12-13 chars including spaces).
If, for whatever reason, your event falls unactive for several rounds, your event may be taken away from the tag privilege.

If you do not wish your event to take part in this, that's fine too.

Imagine the Tag Towers going crashing down Yosei has it worse than you xD, You only loose one tag so it isn't bad

._. this is actually depressing since Ive had our guild tag for a long time now and guild tags have been on here for such a long time its just oing to look odd now.

;o and it's easier to tell who's in what guild that way~

Couldnt just deleting some of the inacative guilds help with the problem some? (Just asking)

xD and ME sounds.... idk.... I think I'm just going to stick with the old way of doign it, I like the individuality it gave to each event that members made. ^^

Small thing: ^That may be true, but you can see what guild they are apart of in their profile. I guess the staff or.. admins.. figured since you could see it in their profile it didn't really matter ._.

I liked the criteria for ME events too...

It will probably make people more enthusiastic to FF official events too coz the tags will be more special...

As much as I love my guild tags... the order bugs me.

Kind'a sad but I can see the reasoning.

Sure we can save tags in the sig-block if we really want to.

Hehe yeah sorry guys, I like my GG tag too (it looks nice under my name cos its like blue green blue green!) but yeah.. we apologise! You can put it in your siggy like A_For if you'd like. =]

Yes Sparky. All that hard work your doing just for the premmy tag would be pointless...JK xDDD
Only the guild tags will go away. In other words your Death_Gods guild tag will be gone...

It truly does wonders to read the whole thing... really it does.

Same thing applies.

I have no guild tag, but I think that you should delete the tags from the guild's that you do not deem active, and when they complain, you should state the reasons, for deleting the tag. Then if they really want the tag, they need to get the guild more active. That way the guild forums that are active, but arn't getting punished because of the non-active guild forums.:uhoh:

Nuuuu I like my tags T_T

Maybe it's an idea to put an optional field like the Name, Level and Server ones with what guild you're in so people can still show it?

Sure. Don't see why not. It'll be done when we take the tags off, which will be sometime tomorrow. So save your tags if you need to.

But will all of the Member made contests be the same color? and all with the "ME" beside it?

Guild tags have been removed.

I also added a field in the profile for Guild. You can access it via user CP to edit. I haven't worked out how to make it display on postbit yet (i.e. displaying it on threads underneath your name) but I've PM'd Rightey to see if he knows LOL. For now, you can see it when you go to people's profile.

We'll try to get it displaying soon. =]
