I was watching the news earlier, and they were talking about diploma rates, basically which cities have the lowest rates of students graduating.

Detroit, a city near by, has a graduation rate less than 25% O.O

Thats... sad.

You know whats ironic? My parents wanted to move me here to Michigan.. so I could get a better established education... in Detroit.

Oh yeah, also so I could live in a safer city.

I think they were just trying to make me think optimistically about moving to Michigan. I never wanted to move.

MI is like in the top 3 or 5 for worst economy...

I know D: It took my dad 4 months to find a job here. He did everything. Drove around, checked the newspaper, used the internet. I couldn't find a job, but my family needed me anyways. My mom managed to settle for a job that was totally out of the norm for her.

In VA, my dad was a coroner, my mom worked for customer service for a tactical gear company.

Here, my dad is a chimney sweep, and my mom is a special education teacher assistant.

Eh? Yeah michigan sounds fun!
