Lightning Cancels Bleed Myth: CONFIRMED (videos)
Link to my OutSpark Thread.
Note: In Video 2 at 1 min 30 secs Bleed is cancelled by Lightning Bolt (I missed it). There is also a typo -_-; damamge = damage* |
cheap :P
|
Yeah. I didn't believe this "rumor" back when I was doing Gold Hill but it's pretty obvious when I'm trioing with a mage and a cleric. =/ Now I just try to wait to cast Bone Shot after the mages cast their lightning skill but... hard to break a habit.
|
I'm just wondering why it cancels bleed...
|
If I were to guess, I would say that it's because of Lightning's missing effect and Bone Shot's screwed up effect. Loveless could probably tell us better but I bet in BK or KFiesta, Bone Shot and Lightning had similar effects so that using one, cancelled the other one out. Now, in OFiesta, we can't see those effects but are still left with the cancellation thing.
(My theory.) |
I pretty much have to repeat this every time I go into a Mara KQ...
that and stunning Mara and Marlone is ok too.. |
this is no myth its a fact.

I guess its just a bug... I dont see how running a strong current through a person will heal bleeding... (dont try that in real life, the test subject will probably die) |
Yes, it was a known fact for while... at least to me. People seem to think that casting Lightning was better anyway for some reason. In my opinion, if you see a bleed status on a boss, don't cast Lightning. It doesn't stun and that extra little damage is not going to hurt the boss. Moreover, it could "miss"... and Archers hardly miss. >_>
And in BK, Lightning does stun and it only cancels out other stunning skills such as Concussive Charge and Fury Shot (yes, it stuns in BK). Bone Shot actually decreases the enemy's accuracy so it doesn't get canceled in any way. |
