Archers or Mage
 

Hi guys just wondering for opinons for everyone
If u had a grinding party, let's sae in aew or fos
would u rather have a mage or an archer in your party

i did a survey in fos and got some results, doing a slight survey here now

if ur an archer/mage please dont go posting your own job cuz just becuz u wan urself in a party
i need a serious answer

Mages all the way. Nova Frost FTW.

i know thank you for pointing out nova which kicks archers off the chart for partying -_-

archers for the win!

I gotta say Archers are better than Mages. I know they hit higher but we got DoT and I dont know if I'm right but Archers have more Def..

Anyway this will come down to what your build is and what your playing style is.

we do have DoT but...
3 mages in a party owns 20+ A.Stonies with 1 nova each
archers dont -_-
once i joined my friend's party in FoS the cleric immediatly said
i though we have no use for an archer
and the pt keeps saying mage nova better mage nova better
i keep getting that...

Well when your looking for a DPS like for a Pt in AEW I think Archers might be better since well Mages have to wait for the cooldown of their spells just standing there, even if it is for a couple seconds, but in that time we can hit some more shots.

Yes, I cant argue with mages are better AOErs.

<.< I don't have to wait, I can cast none stop. MM1(1second cooldown), FB1(3 second cooldown), MB(4 second cooldown), repeat, no rests. Also I have Nova Frost which does between 200 and 750 damage and has a 15 second cooldown, so while thats cooling, I can use magic burst and my regular 3 spells. I am an aoeing machine.

Last time I did stonies we'd take on 5+ with ease with my skills.

Well I was saying those things based on mages the same level as me...I know that you will own anything you touch...

AOE Poison. :P It helps to draw aggro too so it keeps it off other dd's. I think that when you're in a party it's good to have mages with their AOE skills with a lighter CD but it's also important to have at least one Archer to dish out the DoT skills.

Whatever helps to kill the mobs a little faster. Also, most people can't expect a mage with Nova Frost to be in their party. I'm sure those parties with 4x characters cannot expect to have a 6x mage with them dishing out NF for them.
