Need some help..
 

For anyone that's extremely bored...

At work we've got a Toshiba TDP-P8 model projector that we've never used.

We're trying to connect it to a laptop (Windows XP)..

I've plugged in the VGA cable in, and also the USB cable into the laptop + projector...

The Projector wouldnt recognise the computer..

What can I do?

No, I can't really help you. Last time I tried to plug a projector into my computer, it caused my computer to flash every time it loads a full-screen game now... @_@!

First, press F8.... if that doesn't work, hit the laptop with sledgehammer, repeat.....

Actually I got it running the projector as 2nd monitor..

but I dont know how to get a powerpoint slide show to show on the 2nd screen...

Drag the PowerPoint window to the second screen. Or set it to mirror your main desktop.

I wonder if i plugged the projector in properly, i usually see projector project wats on the computer screen, not act as a 2nd screen O_o

No, that's what the sledgehammer is for. :laugh:

Some laptops cannot display the same image on both screens, so it's either one or the other. For my Acer laptop, to switch to a projector, I need to press Fn + F5. Try it.
