Its better to have the video recording software FPS set to as high as Fiesta/Your Graphics Card allows its unpleasant to view a video with frame skipping. You can find out what its running at when you have Fraps running by looking at the yellow number that appears while you are playing Fiesta as that is your frame rate.

Fraps will always consume your hard drive space since its output video file is uncompressed.

The resolution you have set in Fiesta plays a huge part in this. I would highly recommend you record the video file with the lowest resolution Fiesta offers which is 1024x768. Otherwise you are going to have a very very large video file and the output file Fraps dumps will be massive. (If you have a massive hard drive anything above 500GB you would be fine)

Unless you are willing to pay out money for a better recording software program or willing to pirate a program(Torrent) like Vegas just stick with Windows Movie Maker. (I know the rendered output file is horrible with Windows Movie Maker but that's to be expected for a free video editing program)

because of how fraps records it's going to be a larger than normal size no matter what fps and resolution you choose. you don't want to try 60fps at full resolution. that's like 4gb every few minutes.

but i can't think of the programs i used right now but if you use something to convert it to mpeg it'll be a lot smaller.

there's multiple editting programs. i use premiere

Thanks guys.

And Andro...I'm using 1024x768 that means i use 40 fps? o_o

You can use whatever frame rate you like

Lower frame rate means a lower file size but the video will look more unpleasant to watch it wont look as smooth. Just mess around with it until you find one you are happy with.

In the end how you compress it will determine the final file size. I.E. 50gb down to 2.

23.976 or 29.97fps are what you want to shoot for.

On second thought I'll just make a tutorial for everyone with fraps lol.

<-- HD test. I'll make a tutorial later tonight(remove the spaces and watch it on youtube.

How? DxYoutube makes videos smaller when converting them. You should try uploading your video.

And what's the program that adds alot of effects and stuffs and bleh stuffs.....other than movie maker?Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere...don't really know what type of effects you are looking for.

Flash video? o_o

You have to Save it (Publish it, maybe that's what it's called--it's been a long time since I've used it) and then save it as a different file format.

Sparkeh 06-30-2009 05:31 PM

Save it how? o_o;

Publish? o.o

That means i have to post it on YT?
