Mario Kart DS they could be dodged by doing a MT while holding d pad down in the direction you are turning in 100cc mode you could only dodge blue shells on dirt, sand, ice tracks and not cement tracks

Mario Kart Wii either use a star when one comes right up to you or hold a mushroom and use the mushroom when the blue shell is about to hit you.

Mario Kart Wii Wi-Fi fails simply because no matter how good you were at the game you could end up losing a race with ease because in a 12 way wifi race when you are in first you are prone to countless Bolts, Redshells, Blue Shells.

only problem with you wii strategy is while you're in first you only get shells, bananas, and fake item boxes

Nothing wrong with it thats why you deliberately slow down to get mushrooms then overtake the person in first or stay in 2nd, 3rd so the person in first will get hit by any Blue Shell that is fired.

we prefer staying ahead of everyone. besides it seems like rank is also partly based on time and i need to get stars on everything :<
