We do a check on polls when they finish to make sure there are no dodgy votes. Dodgy votes have been removed before and the voters were always PM'd as to why their votes were removed.

It's terribly obvious, most of the time. Of course, it's the Internet, you can disguise something completely if you want to, so I can't really help it if someone is sad enough to go all the way to do that... for a forum event.
