All cats do weird stuff. My cat sucks on blankets, and will literally eat anything you give him. My other cat will try to sleep in anything that is like a basket or a box. Even if hes too big for it and only his two front legs will fit in it.

If the cat tries to throw it into the air, then it might be trying to kill it. My cats love the winter months when desperate mice will try to seek refuge in my place.
