Anyone else interested in the Big Foot news media explosion?

My friend just told me about it *hasn't watched the news EVER*

:zomg:

I'm wonder if fairys and pixie dust really exist then? o.o

No I saw it on the news then changed the channel.

Now a real news story would be if they proved Osama Bin Laden was a 1337 h4x0r

Hraesvelg 08-15-2008 09:13 PM

Their proof so far?

Looks awfully close to me.

Hm... well, if they can release more photos of this corpse, maybe I'll believe it. But that does look real to me. That or just a really good hoax.

Hraesvelg 08-15-2008 09:46 PM

Its not even a really good hoax. The bloody thing looks just like that costume.

Occam's razor would help out quite a bit.

Theory 1: Bigfoot does not exist. People wish to become famous by producing hoaxes that garner media attention. The human mind is great at making patterns, even of unrelated events.

Theory 2: There is a very large, previously undiscovered great ape living in North America. After having been inhabited by the Western world for 200+ years, no carcasses, feces, recordings of vocalizations or other credible evidence has been collected aside from oral accounts/traditions and easily reproducible foot molds. We're not talking about there being undiscovered species in the depths of the Amazon here. We're talking about in North America. There have been groups dedicated to looking for this thing for years upon years upon years. The odds that nothing verifiable has been discovered is simply off the scale.

Yeah the body is too... flat looking. Like a costume tossed into a trunk.

Rightclaw 08-15-2008 09:57 PM

Didn't they already do a DNA test on it, though? Can't do a DNA test on a costume :lost:

Hraesvelg 08-15-2008 10:44 PM

"Biscardi vowed that DNA evidence would vindicate the men. But he later said that one of the three samples sent for examination came back as human DNA, another was inconclusive, and a third came back as the DNA of a possum, which he said could have been from something the Bigfoot ate."
