This is to teach ppl not to help scammers even though you're not the one doing the scamming..

(Note that they only ban the accounts and NOT the IP, so ppl can still recreate a new account)

Like, wat's the point of banning the scammer, who has traded all the goods/money he has scammed to another player, then start a new account WITH the stuff he scammed...? It's like banning an empty shell which is pretty useless... So in this case, I dont see the problem of banning scammer + gang...

okay... So Katana wanted an axe enhanced but lost it to a scammer. The fact it is still both Katana and the scammers fault. NOW you said Dakkon looked into it and the axe was traded to LinkUchiha? and Link told you that he knew he bought that scammed axe?

1. Katana this is till partly your fault and if Link knew he probably had that attitude saying well... U lost it... Its ur fault but now I have it because it benefits me. IT STILL buying it from someone fair and square... its just the scammer fault that he sold it telling him he scammed you.

2. LinkUchiha said to you that he bought that scammed weapon and he knew... SO? How did he get banned? U told Dakkon that he knew he bought it so u wanted Dakkon to deal with it? LinkUchiha knew it was a scammed weapon okay... But still I dont think he wanted to help the scammer, he might of just wanted it to sell it for money. Your fault in the first place for losing it and its the scammer fault for scamming you and selling it to someone else.

3. You seriously need to know how to present yourself in threads because in the beginning people will jump into conclusion because YOUR at fault for not providing information or specific detailed issues and acting like OH! he is gone yea I just wanted everyone to know... WHAT DO YOU THINK WE WILL GET FROM THAT?

Also these past few issues leading to perm-banned is rather dumb. Maybe Im glad of being banned because I dont wanna deal with unfair decisions that the GM's have beein making and see all my friends being banned JUST LIKE THAT. They should of BANNED the scammer but maybe suspend Link for helping. HE technically didn't SCAM Katana...

Well... I get to say something about this.

MiniCiniMonster scammed me, but __Link__ took my stuff, and transferred it to MiniCiniMonster's new account.

What was the point then?

The whole point of banning the account is that if you were scammed, the items are gone. If the account gets banned, and it's traded over to a new account, then it's like the new account was the one that scammed you... pointless ban.

So if someone helped the scammer, they're still part of the original scam, resulting in the same punishment as the scammer.

Wait a minute, I think you made an unfair assumption here. ACCORDING TO KATANA:

1. He has lost his weapon, money and stones by trusting someone he shouldnt have trusted. That's his punishment. The first person that scammed him (i'm not sure why he was never mentioned but i guess its neither here nor there..) should've been banned too.

2. Katana never said Link BOUGHT the scammed weapon. He said "I found out that the axe was traded to LinkUchiha", traded, not bought. If Link bought it then yes, I believe he shouldnt be banned. But if he took it for free from the scammer and sold it, he's helping the scammer. Now, note that the person he SOLD the axe to isn't banned.

Just wanted to point out how I saw the situation :D

Forgive me if I misread, but Falco, it looks like you're saying its ok if he knew it was stolen and resold it with that knowledge to make money? Just because you knew someone well doesn't mean they should get a lesser punishment.

Yeah, it is partly KaTaNa's fault for trusting some random person, but you can't seriously believe that Link, who knew he was selling a stolen weapon, doesn't deserve a ban.

I don't think what you did deserved a perma-ban. Not even close. But Link, he deserves every bit of it.

Would've been alright if Link didn't know... IMO...
