George Orwell FTW. Animal Farm and 1984 are about different things and have different themes though, plus they're written differently, so you can't really compare them...

If you like books describing totalitarian societies, I'd suggest Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. And maybe Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

hm... i'll read up on wikipedia and see if they interest me...

also, another movie i want to see that surrounds those kinds of themes is Soylent Green... it looks rather good

They're about different things but you still critique them the same way based upon their merits.

Handmaid's Tale was very interesting. Liked it.

HP was a good book, but it was the worst thing that happened to children's literature in India.
