2: )Getting in a rush and not paying attention to the shop/trade. I dont know how many times I've done dumb stuff because I got trigger happy and tried to take advantage of cheap prices.

You may be partly at fault yourself if you get scammed, but it is not ONLY your fault. Both the scammer and the person being scammed holds responsibility, though the scammers holds higher responsibility because they are taking advantage of someone's lack of knowledge for their own profits.

I don't know the details of what happened and I'm still a bit blurry on it, but whoever scams others - they had it coming. Can't say whether permaban is a justified punishment, but if they didn't want to be punished in any way, then they shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Erm... trade infromation is stored. What happened was some guy promised to enhance my weapon... he took it and logged off. I reported it to Dakkon and he said that he'd wait until he logged on. Two days ago, I whispered Dakkon and then he said he'd look into it. Idk what he did but he found out who/ and the trade information for the axe. I found out that the axe was traded to LinkUchiha, and then he sold it. He sold it Knowing that it was scammed...which led him to getting banned.

LOL...So how do you know he knew? Did he tell you this? Do you know for a ABSOLUTE FACT that the person who traded him the Axe told him that hmmmm? I don't really think you do.

Oh KaTaNa I used to like you.....This is the dumbest thread I've seen though. Oh i banned someone yay me! ^^

KaTaNa 05-08-2008 07:13 PM

Ya... he admitted it to me. And Zwivix... I'm not proud of it. If you red my 2nd post then you'd know but you like everyone else jumped to conclusions that I was proud of it. In retrospect, I may have said it in a way that I was happy about it but that wasn't my intention.

I just wanted to tell people that knew LinkUchiha and were wondering why he hasn't logged on in a while. I didn't mean anything bad about it and I'm sorry if you think I'm proud of banning people because honestly... I'm not. For those who took it negatively, I am deeply sorry.

P.S. Not to just make this a pointless thread, I was also wondering how normal players are able to get Dakkon's Sword.

Lol. Your at fault as well. =.= For trusting strangers. >.>

Traded to LinkUchiha....Did he pay for it as well? ^^ Or just gave it for free? :O As if their conspiring something against you!

If it was free, I might understand a punishment (NOT a perma ban as its too extreme), but if he actually traded the axe for something thats equivalent in value to the scammer, it technically is the scammer who should be banned, not the one selling the scammed weapon. :/ Despite knowing the weapon is scammed, if you trade something for equivalent value, I do believe...its the same as any other trade. -.-

Lol, Isn't this the same as if higher levels purchase things at an extremely cheap price from a lower level (who doesn't know pricing very well), it is considered scam right? And they'd resell as well, as a retailer type thing. Would this lead to a perma-ban? It is scamming lower levels is it not? Scamming lower levels who don't know pricing. ^^ Only difference with this is, theres no reporting involved? ^^ I do know that this was a type of business before the 6X and 7X greens came out. ^^

Its depressing knowing that OutSpark seems to be perma-banning for every little thing now. A permanent ban for selling a scammed weapon knowing that it was scammed... I don't really see this as cheating or anything, UNLESS the scammer and the one selling talked it through. Even so, since this has happened before, I do believe in fair treatment, and that there shouldn't be perma-ban as they never perma-banned previous scammers.

Ivramire 05-08-2008 10:01 PM

Perma-ban was tad extreme but buying and trading when you know it's a scammed/stolen item should actually be a offense. Same thing as if you know you're buying stolen goods in real-life.
