If it's the latter.. yes there's separate modes. The format you don't like (I assuming you're talking about all the arrows in a row then you press spacebar) are what most modes are made up of. There's one mode called Beat up, but it has arrows kinda like DDR type of arrows. Except they don't move up the screen, they move horizontally towards the middle.

The DDR version doesn't work... cause my keys are all in a row stacked on top of each other so... when I did that mode I was so confused... D:

O_O like.. the screen was stuffed up? Or the arrows on your keyboard....

Like the keys that were set up were home, pg up, pg dn, and end... and since I'm on a laptop they're all in a column like this:
[home]
[pg up]
[pg dn]
[end]

So I didn't know which key was for which... and even when I figure it out it was hard...
