Sylvia is was in Bijou. Anyways, the first lvl 79 in Apoline was a cleric called Togashi, in a guild called Genocide.

I hate to be anal but what people were doing is not hacking! Hacking would be attacking there servers with code injection or decompiling the outspark folder files or something along those lines. Becuase if this is hacking then half of ebay are the worlds best hackers ;)

LOL!

ok then they're cheating..

stealing...

that shall cover it!

Triumph 05-15-2008 12:21 PM

It's not cheating either.

A chargeback is a request that the customer makes to his or her bank, credit card company, etc. in order to obtain a refund for purchasing a product, usually if the product is substandard to the customer's demand, or the customer feels that illegitimate charges have been made to his or her account.

Of course Outspark would be quick to counter this—even if a chargeback made is fraudulent, half of the time they still get charged with processing fees.

Hessah 05-15-2008 12:27 PM

isnt it still cheating when you obtain things that u shouldnt have got to get "ahead" in game.. somehow?

(if that made sense...)

Yay legal debates.

Intrinsically speaking, yes, it can possibly be defined as cheating, as the first definition describes. The full definition of cheating is as follows:

transitive verb
1 : to deprive of something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud
2 : to influence or lead by deceit, trick, or artifice
3 : to elude or thwart by or as if by outwitting <cheat death>
intransitive verb
1 a : to practice fraud or trickery b : to violate rules dishonestly <cheat at cards> <cheating on a test>
2 : to be sexually unfaithful—usually used with on <was cheating on his wife>
3 : to position oneself defensively near a particular area in anticipation of a play in that area <the shortstop was cheating toward second base>
— cheat·er noun

However, when one thinks of cheating, the word cheat has an intrinsic nature—it is commonly associated in MMORPG's, for instance, as a method in which to either/or gain resources in-game, or "hacking" into the game in order to perform actions others cannot. It can be argued, yes, that in this instance, cheating functions adequately in describing a chargeback.

@_@ ok....

<--- hate english debate...

you win Tri! XD

I was gonna say how using the Paypal charge-back feature isn't hacking... xD Just an exploitation.

Yep, Patchouli was first, I guess the person FatalLace mentioned was second, even though Ghostly credited himself as being second from Bijou. ANK seems like a guild of cheaters, since two of them used hacks (please try to realize what this word means) to AoE faster. If there was a 79 from ANK who beat Ghostly, I have no doubt that she did the same thing.

She may have not exploited spark cash while she was lvling to 79 but her and her guildies hacked *or edited* skill cooldowns so they attack faster they also edited some other files. A video was made of this but Outspark didn't do anything about it.

What Sylvia did before the SparkCash incident on his way to 79 is hacking even if its just script kiddie stuff.
