nah i wont get someone else to +9 it for me...

i really dont think soloing as a cleric is all that bad.. well for lvl 5x anyway i cant say for lvl 6x, but with a license and crit suit and all... its not too bad... (not that i solo much i often DUO)

but yeah i think that's analysing it a bit too much.. i play fiesta for fun so i'm not gonna have a hardcore build so i can get the best exp in the best time frame... (as u can tell, if i would get all those +9s i would've been lvl 69 now rather than 59)

i just play watever to relax and hv fun... and hving a +9 hammer makes me feel good LOL I dont think i'll +9 a shield consider that a shield only gives u 50% more defence... i might be better off +9ing my armour which gives double defence but i really dont wanna spend that much...

Lol Hessah. It looks like we're playing thread tag.

The US economy has no impact on this game at all, I don't think. The most it would have is decreased money expenditures from the US player base. The comment was originally implied to mean that US players may invest less money into the cash shop, since the economy is getting shaky.

Tip u're it!

ah right... i was thinking.. why is the economy in this when i'm trying to decided if i should spend $25 or $56 on a game XD

Just saying from my perspective:

I have to pay for car insurance and gas. And my personal extra living expenses. My parents pay for food, but if I want sodas/gum/desserts/etc, I want to have a little pocket change, and not get fully broke after tax season rolls over me.

Also:

I recognize that you may not be a hardcore grinder. But if you want to look at it statistically, making everything +9 makes it the most efficient. I personally wouldn't bother with making armor +9, since you'll outgrow it anyways. A good weapon can last for a long time, and a shield +9 is a worthy investment, I think.

Many people dont tell you this.

But $31 USD can buy a lot of food, and water for those people living in third world countries.

I'm not willing to spend an unreasonable amount on a game.

Look, my husband spends less than games than I do. And I daresay he's a freak, nutcase, or whatever you would use to describe it.

Back in october he spent $60 USD on one of his favorite series. Now, he plays that without needing to fork out anymore cash. He can play this game for as long as he wants. He has full access, he has the full experience.

I, on the other hand, only play this - and I dare say - lousy game. I forked out over $100 on this game. They are asking me to fork out an additional $25 to "better enjoy" the game.

It is already looking silly on my part to even be considering spending more on this game.

=D do u work full time?

i dont own a car, or a house i pay only a little proportion to my parents to help with food and wat-not.... so atm $25-$50 isnt really a big deal.. BUT it doesnt mean i'll go spashing my money on things i dont think is worth...

but yeah.. hmm i should imagine my lvl 6x gear will last me a long time LOL i doubt i'll get to lvl 7x in the near future so.. XD

Was that question directed at me?

If so, no. I'm part-time, but I make more than most teenagers do working 20 hours a week. Much more.

However, a large part of money is diverted into a Roth IRA, or a retirement account. You may think that's early for a teenager, but it's never too early. I may end up even paying taxes. Parents brought me a weird form yesterday to sign. I don't mind spending money on this game, but comments such as these make me cringe away from doing so:

It's pretty easy to take it off the shelf; it's virtual.

Or, you may actually say: "Hmm, this is selling well! Let's try it in purple!" Because people love red, you know? And let's price it maybe twenty cents more. And so this is where it gets fun. And of course we have to respect the users, because we don't want to, basically, beggar them. You know, 'rob from Paul and give to Mary' -- or whatever it is!

But that's the part where I think we will really be able to add value to game developers the world over. I mean, we're starting with Korean game developers because that's where a lot of this inventory rests. But I'm hoping, and starting to see friends of mine, in fact, who all work around here, who are starting to develop games.

Wee. Our sole purpose is to make money, and as much as we can. Forget the bugs, let's go make money! Maybe if we make a pink Menian set, and price it 500 SparkCash more, no one will notice?

^WOW. Criminal.

Saying Outspark is obsessed with capitalism seems like an understatement? XD

Hessah 03-27-2008 04:41 AM

@Tri - i wont quote u coz the post would get too long XD

ah ok.. nah i know its important to build up ur retirement fund early...

wow where did u get the CEO thing?

i wish i never read that

Lady-Loki 03-27-2008 06:03 AM

I don't know that I would call it criminal. After all, the game is actually f2p and can be played without cash-shop items at all. Cash shop items truly are luxury items. And we need to keep in mind that Outspark did not open their business to be a philanthropic organization. They opened to be a profitable business. In a f2p environment the profit will have to be made in the cash-shop items.

That said; I will wait for Outspark to realize the price is too steep for the majority and they drop the price. I have spent more than I should on the game, but I will spend more because it is on the luxury items I prefer and for which I am willing to spend that amount on (cute outfits’ ftw). One thing I have done is to buy extra cute outfits when they go on sale and I currently have several in my premium bag waiting to be used (still have some Christmas outfits and Valentine outfits and just added a couple off the Easter outfits.) But like I said, on the items I prefer. As for the iron case, I have managed with the storage I have and will continue to until they bring the price down.

Additionally, the fact that it is two pages on a single character is a disadvantage for me because I have used the “old bag” on most of my characters and on the extra page/s I stored items I don’t need to access regularly so when the bag expired those items are now simply stored on those pages. I can’t add additional items to those pages, but as long as I leave what is there on that page it is pure storage. So at this point if I bought the steel case all I accomplish is opening 3-4 slots anyway. NOW, if this had been Storage Keeper pages, well, then I would be all over it, but I personally don’t see it for character pages.

Hyper 03-27-2008 06:11 AM

I know it's not criminal, just incredibly, incredibly sleezy.
