I said the same thing until I accidentally made a mistake and screwed my character up. Its really bad when you're a perfectionist like myself as well. You just can't live with it and things like that will come in handy big time. |

but non-the-less the stat reset is probably a good thing esp for new players who might hv mistaken wat each type of stat does and they'll get a chance to redistribute.... |
Well 1 common mistake made is that people think that cleric's int increase healing powers, or that archer's dex increase damage, which is not true. (because in most other mmorpgs its true). But if they made that mistake, they might need more than 10 skill point resets...

yeah and STR usually gives defence and HP...
usually they should find out within 15~20 levels... if not then... too bad for them! |
What games do you play? I've never heard of str giving hp/defence... it usually increase weapon's damage (although i have heard of a game where str increases magic attack)
|
i think ROSE Online has STR increase HP and defence... i cant remember much now XD but this is definitely my 1st game where STR ONLY gives weapon power... (was flyff like that? now i cant remember)
|
Yes flyff was like that, as well as maplestory, xiah, and i think lunia (if u consider magic spells to be "weapon power")... so far in most of the games i've played str is mainly for damage while they have another stat, vitality or endurance or stamina, which increases defence/max hp.

Ragnarok Online too :B
and only for melee attacks, that is. ranged = dex. |
can someone tell my why so many games say that if u more dexterous u can hit harder with a bow. I can understand if u hit more, maybe more crits too. But what really influences the power and range of a shoot is your strength.
|
I think its because there is a proper way of loading the arrow which you need to know, and maybe a proper way to release the arrow? Besides, even if u had unlimited strength, there would be a limit to how much you can stretch a bow before it breaks? But if thats the case, might as well say archers need intellegence (so that they can remember their training) and stamina (so that they wont get tried after shooting so many arrows)
