Agreed. But I'm not sure that 90% of the bots are from china... o.0 I only can speak chinese. I can't read nor write chinese characters. And I'm chinese...

Alright well where I live (So-Cal) I can't go into a mexican restraunt or any fast food joint, that is unless I speak spanish. The people who work there don't speak english at all or if they do they always mess up your orders.

Now I don't believe they should be cut off from the game at all and if that did happen that would be unfair. I'm just trying to show that in "real life" it does actually happen.

I don't know what they can do but it needs to be something or else the economy will be really messed up.

The 90% estimate was a broad estimate, lol. In reality it should be anywhere from 70-90% though. I simply picked the largest value for effect. X_X

it just sounded like you dont like those chinese speaking people (or watever language other than english) and u're trying to prove that its ok to ban those normal players too coz they happen to live in a country that you estimated the bots to be in...

this is actually the first game that i've seen so many bots in.... in contrary to the point of this thread (but then again i dont play as many game as most of you, but i believe i've seen enough) And i doubt the way they target those bots are to ban an entire country...

the only time i've never heard a game ban the IP of the entire country, is when they opened up a new server for that country and wants people to move to it, to reduce lag....

Not really, I'm just saying that for my particular solution to work, a blanket ban would probably be the only way...which is a pity for the legit players. I don't mind Chinese at all; I can read and write it.

Keep in mind I'm not advocating tis particular solution, just proposing it. There is always a possibility that a less drastic solution is available.

Well, in games such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy Online, they have active crews of GM's running around with the banhammer.

Hessah 10-15-2007 01:47 AM

yeah i think they might hv the same crew once this game goes into official opening...

i reckon at the moment, they're more concerned about bugs and errors... hence we're all beta testers....

Holy Hell. I was just discussing about this in-game earlier. Triumph has a great idea and its exactly what I had suggested. First of all, isn't this game supposed to be translated from Korean to English? Well, if it is then they have no right to play an English game. Yes, that may seem rude but i'm really tired of them. Let me show you a screenshot of what Triumph was talking about.

Those names look pretty Chinese-ish to me. The game is affected negatively by 90% of the foreign people in it. Some of the high leveled players if not all in Apoline are all Asian. Korean, Chinese, etc. Doesn't really matter. But what I do know is that they need to go. They might not be bots, farmers, etc. but they are destroying the game and ruining the fun of it for the rest of us.

Ryoji 10-15-2007 02:24 AM

Until they make a Chinesse Fiesta server or whatever, everyone has the right to play. And if or when that happens they will be IP banned. Until that time whether you like it or not, you will have to jsut deal.

heh, even if they open a chinese fiesta, we'll still see them around. You know why? Cause they know that Americans (westerners) are willing to dish out the money to become da bestest, powerfullest, moneyest player in any games. Thus why the chinese will still be in mmos. Hate to say it but some of us americans are too spoiled to enjoy the mmo life and want it all RIGHT NOW!!

Ryoji 10-15-2007 02:36 AM

Well if they did make a Chinesse Fiesta, than all IPs from China/Asia will be banned even if it's the highest lvl'ed person in the game.

But yes Americans in general are spoiled idiots, and when we don't get what we want we pay for it. We believe that money is the solution to everything. Thanks MTV and other things like that for this problem.
