So must teach that little tyrant that it cant tyrannize u. If she would do that to me, i would say i wont help her under that conditions. I love to help people, but i wont help because someone demands it! Also when she demands to be lvled, tell her no. First nicely, and the more she insist the more u make it clear. Once i had to tell a kid over 20times a clear no, before he realised that nagging wont change me decision. p.s: all i wrote hear my sound hard. But there are extrem cases. And in most cases being more nice would be better. |
I don't know how anyone could ASK for those things...I mean...if someone offers me to plvl, I'd gladly accept it, since it's getting harder to get fast exp...but it could never come to my mind to ASK for plvl...I guess the people who do that are just...selfish, immature....or something...:/ And it's so hard to reject...I understand you

Yeah...I guess the 'friends' who constantly ask for 'plvl' are not very good ones. In my life, I've tried so hard not to make any generalizations, but here, I must. >:( If they really were friends, and not "friends", they would think for you, and not want to bother you or put much burden on your back, and not ask for things that they wouldn't want to be doing if they were asked the same. = selfish. Happened to be twice today, two of my supposedly "friends" (whom I've added after a few talks :/ since I didn't feel like being rejective), kept on constantly sending me party invites, and asking "plvl me plz" ughh!!! HELLOO-- |

To be honest, I plvled all the way from 12-25. But I wasn't leeching AT ALL. When the person plvled me, I was always helpful... I healed them well, gave them scrolls, etc. ^^

The two things that seems kinda strange to me are the following:
1. People complain when others say "Pty Pls" instead of "Party Please". It's not that their lazy. In most other games I've played, saying the shortened form is perfectly acceptable. This is the first game where people have had problem with this and I don't see what all the fuss is about. I'm sure when you talk on msn you use "cuz" instead of "cause" and the obvious "lol" instead of "laugh out loud". The abbreviations are just for convenience and I personally don't think they mean any disrespect. I guess the community here really hates abbreviations, but I doubt many new players know that. At least let them know first. 2. While I don't like the fact that some players demand you level them, once again in some other games I've played, plvling actually had some benefits. For one, if you plvled a lower level character, you would get an exp boost and a small point reward (specific to the game). I don't see any benefit in this game toward plvling, but it wouldn't hurt to explain to them once that there is absolutely no benefit of you leveling them and that you need to exp yourself. If they continue to be stubborn about it, then start yelling ^^ |
Oh well i response to the person above me I'd have to say some of us just prefer seeing the real words instead of "Plz."
I'd have to say I do because I prefer to spell correctly if I don't know the person. :urweird: It's an automatic trigger so I can make sure they get my smart side before my stupid side. (Theres alot of it :goaway: ) And also, you're right, should start yelling when they don't leave but I just say something along the lines "If you can handle FoS then come with me." then when they say they don't know I ride away on my dragon and duo there with Machtig or Sparkl3y. :nahnah: |
I say "pt plz" and I understand it that some people. If you just warped to MD and other people are leaving you behind... there's no time to properly type it out.
But with all other things being mostly equal and given a choice between someone who says "pt plz" and "party please," I would must rather take the latter one. =l |

Power leveling = leeching. Yes, they're both the same thing. When you power level someone you shouldn't expect them to do anything. They're just there to leech your experience and gain levels while you do all the hard work and waste your stones, potions, money, etc. I don't do power leveling and I certainly do not receive it. Yes, I have tried before but i've never gotten a reliable person to help me out, so what meager experience I did gain was easily demolished by my numerous deaths.
The only times I make an exception is if it's a friend of mine who I know and isn't going to just take advantage of me or if it's a cleric who can heal and keep me alive. If they fail to do that, I just boot them from the party and move on. However, I would HAPPILY make an exception to anyone who can use the same spelling and grammar as me and request it in a manner that is neither "noobish" or demanding. Yeah, I get crap like "pt plz" or "plvl mi plz" all the time and I swear, if I could, i'd punch them in their throats for being so annoying. I mean really, it isn't that hard to level yourself up until like...level 40 and even then, you should just suck it up and do it anyways. There are plenty of quests that you can do for a lot of experience and they actually fixed the repeat quests so now they're worth doing. Oh and this game doesn't have anything else to offer other than grinding and questing...so...yeah. |
