It... really wasn't that hard if you know any body who's also a JW.

I have a pair of JW friends. They're really awesome people. But we play in a commununity orchestra together and we were doing a Hollywood music night and we were going to play stuff like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and they couldn't do it because those things dealt with magic.

This is prolly really cliché and all, but whether you agree with your parents or not (or I do, or anyone else for that matter) I can promise they are trying to do what they believe is the right thing for you. Not too many parents are just “mean” for the fun of it.

Also many people, parents included, are worried, afraid, or even hateful towards things they don’t know or don’t understand. It’s just not in some people’s nature to branch too far outside whatever comfort zone they have.

And of course your “pain” is normal. We have all been there, are there, or will be there :) (your parents included). It’s just technology and societal/cultural norms that change how it manifests itself. At the end of the day all decisions will be yours, including what you do, believe, etc…

Also you may consider having someone purchase a CS item for you and trading it for a good in-game item that would save them time or effort that would be “worth it” to them?

I realize that too Eruan, and yeah I know how they feel and what their intentions are. My point was just trying to make a smart-ass excuse, which didn't work for that matter. XD

However (perhaps you could tell from my sig), if my son ever got into something (like an MMORPG) I didn't know much about, *my* reaction would be to jump in and try it out! :D If it was something like a new technology (like xferring funds online) I would research it. I've always been that way tho, it just sorta seeped into my parenthood...
