You have to farm a lot or have a lot of luck to get that much. I have 3g.

They get tons of drops from grinding, then decomp, make scrolls/stones, make a fortune.

Or sell +9's, but I've never seen Patchouli vend... Maybe she she does on an alt? But I have no doubt they got all their money legitimately.
