Yes, that'd be a problem too. In my eyes, a post doesn't have to be helpful to deserve a rep. If they were just considerate to other members like mikey:

Besides, it's not like if you rep me, you can't rep others. It would just be a wasted chance to make me happy. :D

There is still one person who is obsessively repping people. I think he needs to stop. Repping so much that he gets the post that says he can't rep for 24 hours. That kinda gives it away, but I won't say the name.
